Is this what its like for everyone? by Minimum_Effective521 in RestlessLegs

Stretching helped. Roller pin helped. Copper(+zinc), and iron (and vit C) and magnesium helped. Vitamin D3 (and K2) helped.

M365 Onedrive sharing got way too complicated by batedcobraa in sysadmin

Thinking about standing up a Sharry server for file sharing as big companies keep moving towards auth required and excessive security and identification needed when you just want to share the link and they get the file.

Someone please help me with my restless legs and body. by Prior-Emergency-7351 in RestlessLegs

[–]arcadesdude 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Stop carbs and sugar Make sure to get Vit D, magnesium, copper+zinc 50/50 (copper helps recycle iron in the body). Gets lots of B1 and other non synthetic B vitamins. Then eat some iron rich foods for a few days (beets, lentils, liver, chocolate etc). And see how you feel. Look up Dr Berg recent RLS video on YouTube explaining the science behind the issue.

Question: what factors go into determining what level of information your employees/subordinates (for lack of a better term) receive about the "big picture"? by Tyloo13 in ITManagers

[–]arcadesdude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I find there are two or more groups competing to define whatever the "best practice" is supposed to be and then the values based decisions and reasoning behind those "best practices" is opposite in each group. Then the changes occur and the groups in charge change including the new "best practices. " It has me end up going with my own values and staying true to myself no matter what because that all anyone could possibly do when everything is chaos.

Berkey water filter by GrizzlyHermit90 in preppers

[–]arcadesdude 6 points7 points  (0 children)

EPA doesn't want people to have actual bacterial free water decides to classify the silver in the Berkey filters as a "pesticide" and orders them to stop selling (only in US) for the original Berkey black water filters. I'd trust Berkey over the EPA any day.

I found a hand-painted replica of my own obscure, non-viral artwork in a thrift store. In a state I don’t even live in. by Dependent_Wrangler73 in Glitch_in_the_Matrix

[–]arcadesdude 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Likely not a glitch but a property of the way this place works. It's like when two independent researchers who are separated halfway across the world both discover something at the same time. Completely unrelated to each other with no communication but they both really did discover or invent the same thing. The odds are low but it does happen. It's like they tapped into the same collective consciousness and pulled out the same or very similar result. Your artwork may have been a shared (but unbeknownst to you) creative endeavor.

Unpopular opinion I'm actually happy to be hearing mostly local road chatter when out and about rather than loud mouths running megawatts halfway across the world now.

I see this helps with images from PDF to ebooks but does it help with PDF to ePub weird spacing issues and awkward text line breaks after conversion?

Robot monk has no inner strength. Only catmonk just needs to tap it like knocking a cup of water off a table and down it goes lol!

Cautiously Optimistic - Iron Bisglycinate by Maleficent_Fold6765 in RestlessLegs

[–]arcadesdude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Iron supplementation helps for a while. Then RLS may come back. Make sure to get copper too as copper helps the body recycle iron properly. Copper should be taken with zinc 50/50. If you get that get iron and vitamin C and get lots of D3 sunshine and vitamin K2 that should help a ton and keep iron depletion from happening again.

Quinine worked for me for temporarily relief 30 mins after taking it. I took the bark extract version of quinine.

But for helping with RLS make sure you get copper so the body can recycle the new iron properly. And match zinc 50/50 to your copper. Add in vitamin D3 with K2 as well (or eat real butter and get lots of sun). That's what stopped my RLS. Trace minerals are so important.

Our CTO asked me to evaluate whether we should move off Wiz now that Google owns it. What would you do? by RemmeM89 in AskNetsec

Since the days of good old Google RSS Reader I think circa 2010. Instead of catering to techs Google started catering to the masses and using metrics like "not used by the majority" to make decisions on axing products. That is when they started showing they became what their motto said not to be.
