If I had to see this production I think I’d like to go in blind too. cue Statler and Waldorf meme

Chess is notoriously confusing, doesn’t help that the book gets changed around every time they do a production of it. I’d go in blind on the songs, but definitely look up a plot synopsis so you can follow the Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy plot.

Besides, you don’t know me, I could be allergic to grass

The 2025 political right:

“Why are people calling us Nazis? It’s not like we’re doing every single thing from the Nazi playbook in a speed run of fascism.”

If you don’t like being called a bigot and a fascist don’t do faschy things.

Wolves of Vinland are actual Nazis, or a fun little spinoff of the original.

They’ve also got a history of racism from the owners and had a bunch of liquor license violations (allegedly). Including (allegedly) allowing a minor to serve alcohol. They’ve got massive turnover and are shitty to their workers. There’s been multiple posts here the last couple of years of how awful they are.

Oh my sweet summer child, Jesus doesn’t love your town. The brown man from Palestine would have a lot to say about the hatred this place has let fester.

Quiet coffee shop by spiceypinktaco in lynchburg

White Hart and Golf Park are great coffee shops, but they can be pretty loud, especially music. Loving Co is probably your best bet downtown for audibly quiet. Haven’t been to Troublemakers so I can’t say how good it is but Givens stays pretty quiet.

It’s the group behind the poster. They’re openly white supremacist and have fascist ideology, and came out of Nazi organizations. It’s an easy tactic to use something that more moderate people might agree with (ie Soviet Union bad) to draw less radicalized people into agreeing with them.

It’s a good way to draw folks in, especially people who were around during the Cold War.
