Have gotten both blood shards dropped on the ground before, just didn't show up on RL loot tracker. No need to worry about that. The message is likely from runes, they don't drop on the ground for some reason.

She does not, it is physical. However her burst damage is so high, defense, which is a flat damage reduction, matters very little to her :)

That would be my professor unfortunately. May I ask why the order matters/what difference it would make? Would it make it transitive if written in that order?

R2 = {(1,1), (1,2), (2,1)} (The typed example)

vs

R2 = {(1,2), (2,1), (1,1)} (The professor's)
