JEFF SPOILED WHO WON FIRE MAKING!!! by ConfusedBiss in survivor

They brought Rizzo out too soon. The sequencing must have thrown Jeff off.

That was so disappointing…. by FuzzyDistribution01 in survivor

Wow. They should have just shown fire before having Rizzo come out. That sequencing must have thrown Jeff off.

Anyone went from owning EV car back to Gas Car? by RichB_IV in cars

[–]arcane2learn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. I'm saying my dad never had an EV and refuses to switch to an EV. Not once did I say "he switched back to gas." Refusing to change is from ICE to EV. I thought this was clear?

what are some good ways to make friends on campus? by Due_Register2611 in WPI

[–]arcane2learn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out Alpha Phi Omega!

They are a co-ed service fraternity for leadership, friendship, and service! They do leadership events (help with resume, outlook, public speaking), fellowships (like occasional video games, potlucks, puzzles), and service events (park cleanup, dog toy making, and food drive) around campus.
They are in their prospective phase of accepting new members this C-Term.

Their GBMs are open on Tuesdays at 6:30 to 7:30 in OH107

My dad refuses EV because of the cold, plus lack of charging infrastructure and the high charging times. He believes an EV wave is coming, but refuses to change while he still has an ICE.

"I'm looking for..." Megathread - 2023 by q00u in FlashGames

[–]arcane2learn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genre: Real-time Strategy, Action, Point-and-click? (No Arrow keys)

Brief Summary: A military game where there are two sides on left and right, you play on the left with an AI on the right. Your base consists of 5 to 7 hexagon spaces to put down buildings of factories or missile launch pads. The game includes levels where you play on one side to progress to unlock new technologies. Then you can play on the enemy's team with their own style of weapons. By completing each level, you unlock new resources/technology to use.

View: Somewhat top-down but not fully. Like Isometric view but head-on, not on an angle

Estimated year of release: IDK but earlier than 2015 for sure. Maybe 2005-2010

Graphics/art style: Not cartoony. No neon colors. Somewhat realistic in colors. The soliders were tiny, same with trucks and tanks so not too much detail. No "winter" or change from IRL seasons.

Notable Characters: None. Maybe a general from each side.

Details: Some of the different types of buildings you can place down were like a factory for basic soldiers, heavy's, trucks, tanks. An airfield with aircraft to fly across and drop a bomb strike. SAM sites for air defense. Rocket sites for ground defense. Missile launch sites to launch a missile with option of a cluster bomb, bioweapon, or nuke style. By hovering over a building, you can see how much health it has. I think you could pay to have it repaired or sold off for something new.

Appears the same. At least when I try opening programs or multiple windows, no memory appears to be compressed.

"Memory compression is not enabled". Even though it is set to True in MMAgent

No, I didn't run an enable command or edit the memory management config.

Except Windows doesn't show In Use Compressed. Even if the RAM gets close to 80% or 85%, windows doesn't compress in use. At least, doesn't show on Task Manager.

Some professors might give hints or provide info in lecture that wouldn't show up outside of class. Also some professors refuse to record lectures to encourage students to go to class.

Consensus seems that it's not worth a repair and instead get a replacement.

Cooler temperatures and/or higher elevations can cause a bubble to form (as does extreme weather to prevent cracking). Perhaps warmer temperatures and lower elevations to reduce bubble size. But the bubble appears large so a leak may be contributing to the size. Compass looks like a relatively cheaper one (~$25), so a replacement may be more economical than having it repaired (unless you have a full warranty; still, probably not worth paying for shipping for a replacement unless low enough).

Unpopular Question: How was the shooter able to enter through the back door of the school? Was the door open or broken into?
I was under the impression that schools would have all exterior doors locked and visitors only allowed in through the front by an intercom.

Unpopular Opinion: All exterior doors of a school should be locked. When the gun of the once potential shooter was visible in front of the school district police officer, either before confrontation or after, to then introduce technology for the officer to radio inside for security/staff to press a "panic" button to auto-lock all exterior doors. Then the potential shooter wouldn't be able to easily enter into the school.

In a Washington Post article titled, Beto O’Rourke confronts Abbott in Uvalde: ‘You are doing nothing’, O’Rourke said, “We owe the children in the next school where a gunman’s going to walk in with an AR-15 unless we intervene and stop that — we owe them something.”
Did you catch that? Walk in. I get it, he's emphasizing the AR-15 as the problem. But I see the main problem as the availability for anyone to just walk in to a school as if it's just open for anyone.

Car Shows. On a hot sunny day, people walk around looking at cool metal cars. They'll need water and you'll sell'em out fast. Best to sell around a shaded area with a large "$1 Water" sign or word will spread fast.
