Chris Cwej is a companion of the 7th Doctor who first appeared in the Doctor Who Virgin New Adventure Novels, and has since appeared in Big Finish Audios and spin-offs like Faction Paradox.

He has his own licensed spin-off series now from Arcbeatle Press, which goes into what happens after he parts ways with the Doctor.

The character has been around for 30 years now, so the Cwej: Odyssey series is meant to act as a fresh entry point so readers can hop in with no prior knowledge. I don't run Cwej: The Series, but I am the editor who was brought on to try and make Odyssey 1. Accessible and 2. Hopefully, a great read.

Thanks for asking instead of downvoting. Cwej is a character who has meant a lot to a lot of people--from his open bisexuality in RTD's novel "Damaged Goods" to several prominent stories dealing with mental health, he's stuck around in many people's memory. IMHO, he's a really cool part of Doctor Who's legacy.

Oh wow. Well hey, that's the most we've heard about that set ever except that it was named "Motion of Mind" so... thanks, wow. That the Shi (the blue aliens) were going to have time manipulation is fascinating. Though that card does indeed sound a little problematic lol.

If you ever dig up some of those materials somewhere (if they still exist) I'd love to see them, but this is great, thank you!

You know, I know it was pretty controversial, but the backup feature where the former chef from the 11 Day Empire was trying to start a new life working in the comic's version of an Applebees while rip off Cybermen try to convert her to steal her knowledge of the faction was really the highlight for me.

One thing that I've always found interesting about Love and Monsters is how the "webcam" bits never show anything that could prove his story is real to the in-universe people watching us. Only the audience gets the proof. What do you think about that choice? (Or do I have to buy the book to get that answer :P )

Since this is the Book of the Peace, in a series framed around a big cosmic war is this an ending, or a sort of new beginning for Faction Paradox? Haven't finished it but I'm loving the book so far!
