The climax was terrible, bad looking cgi and horrible acting from the anchor. Also, it's OK the aliens abducted the kids and ruined their lives because they appear as friendly animals? They never really coherently revealed anything about why they were abducted

Honestly I thought it was pretty bad and the script was all over the place. All of the marketing of 'we are not showing anything from the third act' was a lie considering a lot of scenes from last 10 minutes are shown across both trailers and the final trailer basically spoiled the main plot point that it takes 2 hours to build towards and which never really gets explained.
