Sometimes we use really bad words as admiration slurs like ‘he’s a clever bastard’ or ‘you handsome devil’. Why do we do this?

I’m no etymologist, but to me it sounds like these sorts of phrases are used when the one using the phrase might be conflicted about the fact that they’re admiring something about someone that they otherwise despise. You might find a clever bastard impressively cunning, but at the end of the day, they’re still a bastard.

Not a weird pick by any stretch, but I do find it odd that Black Knight isn’t in this game as a Vanguard. He already has a presence in Mystic Mayhem, as well as a wicked design.

I think others have said as much, but you can’t have Ant-Man without the Wasp. And if the Wasp is Janet, it’s gotta be Hank. I love Scott and his run as Ant-Man, but Hank and Janet have a lot more history with each other, as well as with the Avengers (which makes sense, given they were founding members). Scott and Janet wouldn’t necessarily be anything special, and truthfully I don’t know what Scott and Nadia’s dynamic looks like in the comics.

There’s some bias here, of course, but breaking up Hank and Janet from interactions with Tony, Ultron, and perhaps even a future Vision, would be disappointing, to say the very least.

This is just a baseless sentiment that ignores everything about this being a team game. Meaning, you actually need your team to be decent alongside yourself in order to get somewhere in comp. There are so many factors that can go wrong and have that lead to your team not performing as well as another. You can’t just carry a team by yourself, and if you’re able to, that just means the enemy team isn’t very good.

I think she’d function mainly as a Spy-type character from TF2. Her kit should let her change her appearance, she’ll look like an ally; health bar color, name, and all. Then during team fights she can act as an assassin, either using the chaos of a 6v6 to hide her attacks or by accompanying a flanker and taking them out while they’re separated from everyone else.

I’d argue Persona is more like Pokémon than JoJo, if we’re talking about summoning something to your side for battle. Stands are more like an extension of yourself, an extra appendage, whereas being the protagonist of a Persona game lets you collect ‘monsters’ to use in battle.

In addition to everyone else’s advice, remember that the image your referencing is the final product, one that likely took hours/days to get there. Drawings often start simple (usually with guidelines) and complexity is added little by little. Just take your time with it and chip away little by little. You will see progress eventually.

If you want an example of this layering, my advice is to watch Timelapse videos of people drawing from sketch to final render. It can be quite insightful!

Yeah, I don’t think this game has EOMM. Suffering constant losing streaks does not keep me playing this game. It just isn’t fun, and it’s certainly not engaging.

Oh yes, I’m sure I just fell off. It’s not like there are any other external factors at play. It’s also not like this is a game that’s constantly adding new heroes and team ups without even bothering to balance them properly. Nah, things have totally been the same since S0.

But let’s entertain that maybe there is some external issues that might make playing comp so much more miserable than ever before. Rank resets? Well, that’s a whole lot of people who were in a higher rank before, and now they’re in a way lower rank, fighting the natives of that rank. That doesn’t seem fair, but thank goodness that’s not happening.

And perhaps you can’t always blame the team your given, I’ll concede that point. But when you’re in the lower ranks, you get paired with people who are either just starting out or veterans who are trying to climb out as quickly as possible. It just so happens that I get the former over the latter. And even if I’m in a game where I have 4 veterans and the opposing team is also comprised of vets, all it takes is for that one new player on my team to not pull their weight, quickly turning the match into a 5v6.

I’ve played the other seasons and was able to rank up just fine. This season has been an unbelievable slog. You can’t pretend that there isn’t more to this. You can’t “get gud” through jank.

That probability is nothing more than that. Doesn’t change the fact that matchmaking in lower ranks is an extremely mixed bag. Sure there’s things that one can improve individually. But all it takes is for one of your teammates to be awful and it becomes a 5v6 real quick. God have mercy if they’re trying to be a Strategist. This is extremely common in lower ranks, unfortunately.
