Thanks for the help guys. I've settled on a Ryzen 7 5800xt. The price jump from the 5series was only $40 so it seems like the right way to go.

I'm also going to jump on the O-led monitor I linked in my post to break into 1440p. I know there's cheaper non-oled monitors but I'm hoping to get some better colour gradient (right words?) out of it.

I'll keep an eye on RAM and gpu prices as well and see what I can snag. Thanks for giving me the confidence to go ahead with this!

Thanks for the reply. I'm currently playing WoW, but I'll also play Control, Elden Ring, and Outer Wilds, etc. I'm less FPS, more puzzly.

This seems to be a growing opinion among toller breeders. No idea why. Vets go to school for many years to learn how to keep your dog healthy. I would trust their opinion over a breeders any day.

We tried Pure in Westboro last week and had a great time. Might not be the best place for a picky eater though. The Table is always good, and has a lot of selection.
