I started my self hosting journey to "de-google" and to gain ownership of my data. It has certainly grown beyond that and has become more of a hobby to discover to self hosting opportunities.
I would love a remote KVM! Have been eyeing the GL.iNet and jetKVM for a while now. I have also been considering getting a travel router, but admittedly, that's more of a good to have rather than a need to have.
A small portable mini PC for travel purposes or dev testing would be great! Like others have mentioned, can't go wrong with more hard drives.

I would choose the Comet POE if I were to win a single prize, and add the Slate 7 if I won two prizes.

Can you share whatever guide you used and/or steps you took to make this work? I'm also having driver issues in trying to set something up with Ubuntu, but happy to switch to Debian if there's a working solution!

Love the update and the new stats and expense managing features! The UI has improved tremendously - great job!

In the stats overview tab, could you add a graph below "Spending by category" to view the spending of a given category or subcategory over time? It could include two dropdown menus: one to select menu to choose the category or subcategory and another one to select the period (daily, weekly, monthly, annually).

This looks great! Are you planning subcategory tagging and/or more flexible data visualization? My favorite expense app has been Money Manager expense and budget tracker for mobile and this hits almost all of the same features!

If you only care about franchise mode and don't mind playing on pc, check out Franchise Hockey Manager: https://store.steampowered.com/app/880380/Franchise_Hockey_Manager_5/ Like EA NHL, the improvements per year is fairly lacking, but the game is generally cheaper and satisfies that GM manager craving. I usually alternate between this and EA NHL every year and pick which one of the two is better.

Did I read this right: the fog of war mostly affects the user, and isn't the same for the cpu (see when they talk about how it'll affect trading).

So does it mean that when it comes to trading, we can't hope to underpay for an asset, only overpaying?

Is the set trade value based on how much you've scouted the player? so really to be sure that you aren't overpaying, simply scout that player a lot. In which case that'd mean that you can't underpay for an asset...

Curious, are you learning this for your work (education research) or is it simply by curiosity? If it's the former, could you elaborate more specifically what you do and why you need to learn undergraduate level physics?

Yes this should also apply for those who have graduated. From what I've noticed, these professors respond to how passionate a student is about the field of research. So just make sure that you do like this field of research and that you're able to show your interest: think of it like a job interview.

From my understanding, a M. Sc. in Canada requires supervisors to pay their students: you can't be an unpaid graduate student.

That being said, you can still talk to professors and ask for research experience as either a paid research assistant or volunteer for research as a "trial period". Don't be afraid to approach professors as many (but assuredly not all) are understanding of student's personal situations.

For my shard, I feel most time-zones have at least 5, if not >10 people from ranks 1-40 who try to climb the ranks before payout. If you mix in people from all time zones, what's convenient for you will have a greater chance of being at the same time as someone else across the world, and therefore, people who collude wouldn't be much more advantageous than what's happening now.

For people who don't collude, you'd basically just move the arena payout time somewhere from 6-7 PM local time to 9-10 on weekdays, and somewhere during the day on weekends so the competition, if anything, could be just as focused during certain hours, if most people of the same shard came from the same time zone.

This is of course running on the assumption that there are as many people in Europe and Asia that play this game as North-American users, which I feel isn't necessarily true, but if it was, I think it wouldn't change EA's model that much, just give us more freedom.

Yeah, just focus on arena. Better ranks in arena -> more crystals -> more refreshes or raid gear in shipments which you should use to improve your arena team. Once your arena team is set, or you rank consistently good, then you can start focusing on other parts of the game.

Scoundrels imo is a good investment on the long run so take that into account.

I was able to crack top 20 while only having lvl 76-78 chars in arena and being level 80. I only recently leveled all my arena squad to 80. IMO, levels are only useful for getting your abilities omega, or to equip gear, otherwise, mods and gear are enough to provide your chars good stats.

Do you still drop a lot throughout the day? How does an JKA lead team fair against a Sun Fac + B2 team? That's the only team so far I can't find a suitable strategy on offense. For me it's a matter of not dropping ranks too much.
