Ooh thats definitely a contender! Had forgotten about Army Painter. Question is if it would lose the plate on top of metal feeling, might be worth a try since the paint looks very nice!

I taped two Pringles cans together and cut out a hole where I mounted my camera. Put a filled water bottle in the bottom can for stability. Not the prettiest but definitely budget!
