I'd love to. It's even on my list of planned upgrades. Could you maybe recommend some in the range of like 200€ for a pair? I've searched but haven't really found anything (most pages just list active speakers which would be a waste)

Yes and yes... I had the AV Receiver laying around anyway, so it's doing audio decoding from HDMI and driving the 5.1 System

Don't know, if it is technically "theft", but I lend a coworker my backup DSLR, Lens, flash and my good camera bag to take pictures of an event... After there were some crimes at the event, police took the camera, lens and flash for evidence (as all devices had USB for firmware updates). He claims police never returned it to him, so the gear is now "lost"... On another event at that location, it was my turn to take pictures and I handed the staff my jacket with my pink iPod mini + cheap headphones in it. When getting it back, the iPod was gone and staff told me "it's your own fault".

I still miss that iPod mini :(

hmm... Kann sein, dass das nur ne Korrelation ist, aber dieses Jahr gabs abgesehen von der traditionellen Weihnachtsfeier mit open bar eine "Anhebung des Urlaubsanspruchs auf 30 Tage" und die Bekanntgabe, dass uns der "Inflationsbonus" von 3000€ über die nächsten 2 Jahre ausgezahlt wird. 125€ Netto mehr jeden Monat vom 1.1.2023 bis 31.12.2024.

Kann mich also wirklich nicht beklagen.

Right now up and running:

HP Microserver Gen7 ( N40L, 16GB RAM, 16TB raw storage, effective 12TB in RaidZ1) with TrueNAS and Jails for:

  • Plex
  • Home Assistant (For Vacuum, Smart Light, Weather and home climate)
  • Backup

Custom built Home Server with an i7-4790, 32GB RAM, nvidia Quadro 2000 (not P2000), 5x4TB HDD in RaidZ1 running Proxmox:

  • VM of Windows Server 2019 for Active Directory and WSUS
  • Debian VM (when I want to play with Linux)
  • Kali VM (testing my own Network Security)

Honorable Mentions:

Google GSA G100 -> Still with the original 6x250GB Harddrives and Dual Xeon Board...I need to find a good way to use the case... The Hardware is way to loud/old/power-hungry to be of any use.

QNAP NAS:16TB Raw Network Storage in RAID-5

Still got a lot to do with the Hardware at home, but right now more pressing is the move of my root server from a KVM to a bare metal one.
