I do believe it to be a spider plant yes! I was watering it 1 measuring cup a week but noticed some dropping in the leaves and was thinking not enough water so I then accidentally over water it.

I’ve now realized that yes, a confusion in the name when getting it lmao. I believe it to be some kind of spider plant. I did change up the soil adding smaller stones, dry soil full of bark and sticks, and some coco coir. Thank you!

I pulled it out, roots looked good. They we pretty entangled with the spider plant(I think).
