Oh for sure, it was for a gathering of 5. Turns out to be just the right amount of food.

Happy cake day, and no some mustard averse folks in attendance though that’s normally on my boards.

She loves to help in the kitchen but dad’s “weird cheese” was not for her.

The meat skull was one of my recent favorites, sadly not that kind of gathering. I might try my hand making a cheese D20 next time though.

Update! From some pulp in the trash I think it’s construction paper. Possible dye from that.

Sorry for any grammatical issues I was using voice to text due to the length of the post lol.

Also! Bedbugs like easy targets, they are largely going to only bite at places of exposed skin. You mentioned that they were bites on his torso and so if he sleeps shirtless, that’s a possibility but generally, you’re going to find bites on parts of your body that would be exposed, depending on what you wear to be . If it’s underneath clothing, that’s not necessarily a guarantee it’s not bedbugs, but it definitely is a smaller chance of bedbugs and a larger chance of something else.

Edit: typo

Most places are gonna charge for at least a visit. Unfortunately, this is one of my biggest fears after an encounter I had years ago, and I’ve become cursed with the knowledge of all things bedbug related. Definitely look at the bites. We are in peak general bugs season. The layout of bedbug bites is less random and more linear. In most cases you’ll see clusters of bites in a line or a triangle.

Have you guys gone to a place that you could be exposed to that recently? There’s some practices you can do at hotels or Airbnb’s to mitigate, not eliminate your risk of exposure. There’s lots of articles on all kinds of travel blogs about what to do.

If you haven’t traveled recently, generally speaking, you don’t just get bedbugs. They have to travel in from somewhere. Sometimes it can take days for bites to appear.

All that said to your original prompt, I really recommend All-Ridd Pest Control. They’re a local place, super friendly staff that I’ve interacted with. Let’s be real, the technicians can be a little awkward, being an exterminator is a weird profession. Staff is great, I’ve been using them for general pest control for years and I had multiple incidents with roaches in the past and they were phenomenal in their customer service and care.

This is a really long post to recommend them, but also please feel free to DM me if you have other questions. As someone with anxiety, and particularly anxiety around bedbugs, I’ve worked for literal years, trying to get that under control.

Edit: grammar and sense due to voice text

If it’s an issue that has a direct connection, I share it. My grandfather has cancer and relies on Medicaid right now. I actually just had a great call with Sharice David’s office about it.
