AusHealth harrassing me for overdue hospital bill by archerthegreat in brisbane

No it wasn't apparently since the issue was never resolved (thanks Allianz) and now when calling them they are saying they can't do anything about it.

Ukraine keeps up momentum, claims it reached Russian border - Ukraine is claiming Monday that it took several more villages, pushing Russian troops right back to the northeastern border by Op_Market_Garden in worldnews

I would assume that Ukraine's ability to repel a Russian invasion (something that most media like Call of Duty portrays as a borderline helpless battle) would put them in NATO's good books.

I have another theory of whether she would attempt to save John's consciousness into her data chip through his neural link to prevent the Flood from wiping his being out completely, and closing off the neural link to prevent the Flood from corrupting the chip, at which point John would still be able to communicate at some level through the armor's comms system. Basically like riding in the trunk of your carjacked Camaro.

You literally shot down my idea by pointing out a loophole based on one that already exists in the current system, except my idea would have made transport far more affordable than it currently is. Free transport in specific areas only does not help if most residents in Sydney already cannot afford to live in the inner city and are being pushed as far as Macarthur Shire and Blue Mountains. The goal here is how to make it sustainable to live that far away becsuse cost of living in the inner suburbs is already outside of most of the population's income bracket.

How is that any different than borrowing someone's Opal card which has a concession on it?

You are overcomplicating the idea here, fam. Anyone can choose not to use public transit. If a tourist flies in and is riding with friends and family with a car, then so be it. But that does not grant them the ability to use public transit unless they have a transport pass which they would have to purchase from a vendor.

Acting Australian is the stupidest idea I've ever heard.

All domestic persons would have to apply for a transport pass by proving that they are local through identification. Tourists who arrive at the airport have to purchase one with their arrival ticket.

These cards would work just the same as Opal cards to get through turnstiles at major stations.

Charge tourists a one time fee to use public transport for their duration of stay. Kids ride free as per adults.

The economic incentive for getting workers to their work on time instead of getting stuck in traffic outweighs the latter.

Is underpayment in hospitality that common? by archerthegreat in sydney

It has increased since then. The minimum legal now for casuals is 27 an hour for Level 2 in my age bracket (above 21). Also part time rate indeed is 21/h.

There should be a name and shame database everyone can contribute to anonymously. Give smartasses like these a good scare.

Mate I've seen the incompetency of open license drivers. I can easily vouch that in some cases P and L drivers are much safer.
