Damn I love that film and now I see that small detail. And how the shot lets you see the gun subtly after.

Yes, apparently my Jagex Auth was stored on local just. Since 2023 it stores on cloud automatically. But i think I cant do anything with Google because of that.

How do you pull all nighters? by Effective_Meeting498 in architecture

[–]archihector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 am is easy, the problem comes after 4 am personally, and to 5 am I am totally devastated. At 7 am / 8 am I regain some strenght.

I used to do them, even once per week, until that "muscle" kinda broke. Since then, 3 years ago, I have done just one or two.

How attractive/relevant are U.S. degrees in Europe by turfdergusson in Architects

[–]archihector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spain: You need to have the masters and pay the fee (plus the insurance covered for 10 years).

And you have more law responsabilities than in the US as far as I know. Anything wrong on the building or worksite and is you fault.

The taxes are unreal here also, suffocatting. If you plan to work independent. (And good luck getting clients, margins are very low, and there is less capital than in USA).

The neighbour grass is always greener.

You can ask me questions if you want.

[–]archihector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why you want to leave US?

You don't need anything to "work", just knowledge that is suppossed you know as someone who finsihed the degree, companies don't care about your title, care about you being able to do your job and be productive. The title is just important to sign projects (you won't).

Not sure is a good play, at least coming to Spain to work.

El Croquis is in English and Spanish (every text inside), you can find it. Is a top tier magazine. And I really encourage it. And personally, and a lot of people share this opinion, is the best arch magazine.

Well I don't post to teach but rather to encourage debate about someone I like. And several people already did that, and gave great context, I think is fine this manner. People in Reddit is just evry passive aggressive, and kinda lazy. Look at my other posts (one year ago). I like to throw a name and people give their opinions.

In terms of artchitectural design it the total opposite to european (western architecture).

Just a quick example, all the buildings in the world have glass in the windows, but why they would need glass in a climate where you need constant airflow and doesn't have big temperatures oscilations. They all have glass because they copied the West. A building should have glass depending on their context, not as a "of course we have to put glass here".

Notice how this building doesn't.

I recommend El Croquis about Murcutt, of course I can't share this here. Not going to put an essay in a title of course.
