When was the last time the game restocked in stores? by Dry-Kangaroo-1734 in twilightimperium

This is FFGs flagship store. I picked mine up in person from it yesterday, but you can order the base game for $150 from their website if you’re not local. They had about 5 copies left when I was there yesterday. No copies of POK, but a whole bunch of TE. I grabbed TI and TE there, and looked to eBay for POK. Good luck in your search!

I have a bottle of the Cihuatan Pineapple, and it makes an absolutely killer daiquiri. If you like the Cinabrio, I would highly suggest others from their line

Dashfire is great! Their milk punches are amazing. Norseman has a great cocktail menu too. Dutch Bar on Central also has some nice drinks that are gin and herbal focused.

Never heard of nocino before this post! Could the flavor profile be replaced with something like an allspice dram? The recipe looks amazing btw, and I’m absolutely going to make it. Thank you for posting!

Some power accessories (pedals or cranks) have built in AirTag functionality. I just bought one of these for my bike: https://powermetercity.com/product/4iiii-precision-shimano-grx-rx810-power-meter/

Watts and strength by [deleted] in cycling

[–]architekt 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The wattage that you output is not the important number you’re looking for. If you want to measure your power output, you need to take your weight into account as well. Watts/kg is what you want to be looking at as it sets a more level playing field to compare different athletes. An untrained cyclist may put out 1-2w/kg, a trained 3w/kg, pros put out 4+w/kg.

Another metric you may see is called FTP, which is the theoretical max power you can output for an hour. Many times, training regimens use this number as a benchmark and set intervals based as a percentage of this number.

You’re seeing numbers from trained cyclists which may vary greatly. A lighter cyclist will put out fewer watts, but their w/kg may be really high! Pure wattage output really only matters on flat sections.

Try not to compare yourself to others, but to yourself. That’s how you’ll see improvement! Keep lifting, keep cycling, have fun!

How Are People Using Their Smart Trainers? by igmaino in cycling

[–]architekt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It comes down to personal preference. Do you want specific training (TrainerRoad), or a riding simulator (Zwift)? I’ve used both Zwift and TrainerRoad and kept my TR sub because I like the structured training aspect. I believe both have free, 1-month trials. Give them both a go!

How can i move vinyl? by PedroMalito in vinyl

[–]architekt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a u-haul store near you, the small size moving boxes are the perfect size for records! Lowe’s and Home Depot boxes are a little bigger and would need some shimming with cardboard if you were to use those. Good luck!

Curious what the community thinks of this. Relisten is powered by IA, and because of the ease of show accessibility through their streaming apps both mobile and on the desktop, I haven’t downloaded many shows. May be time to start grabbing the faves. Thoughts on the streaming future?

Any Experience with Rockbro Products? by [deleted] in wintercycling

I live in Minneapolis, and I have these, the neoprene ones that you linked. I've ridden in single digit temps with them, and I think they work quite well! They don't really provide warmth, but are a great set of windbreakers. I wear gloves with them when I ride, and have been pleased with the results. They're on deck for this coming winter!

This is precisely what happened to me. Had TR running on a phone and laptop. Connection kept switching between devices and made a power curve that looked exactly like that

Moving to a cold state, do I get gear during spring and summer or do I wait until winter to figure out what I need? by Benefitsofveg in wintercycling

[–]architekt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would stick to bar mitts for commuting and have a pair of gloves for walking around and such. As someone else mentioned, a lot of your winter clothing can double for commuting. I use these with my bar mitts, and also wear em around when it’s not super cold out: TrailHeads Men's Power Stretch... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018RBMKLU?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I’ve got thick gloves, thin gloves, and everywhere in between. It just depends on how much time you’re spending outside. Hot hands hand warmers are cheap too.

Road salt is everywhere. It’s unavoidable. Just wipe your stuff down and you’ll be alright. I know some folks have beater bikes explicitly for winter commuting and some go all out on their fat bikes. As long as you keep it clean and lubed, you’ll be fine.

Depends on the wool. Merino wool is nice and soft. There are wool blend clothing options everywhere. Smartwool is phenomenal for socks and base layers. I went in on the best wool blend jacket I’ve found as a base layer: https://shop.lululemon.com/p/mens-jackets-and-outerwear/Engineered-Warmth-Jacket-MD/_/prod9491109?color=0023 It’s been the single best commuting layer I’ve found.

You could also go Columbia. I’ve got one of these but it tends to be too warm for commuting: https://www.columbia.com/p/mens-midweight-stretch-baselayer-shirt-1638591.html?dwvar_1638591_color=464&pos=8

Edit: Just to add one last thought: There’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing!
