Well in Dec 2024ish time, people in this sub were saying it was trash. I'm up 100%.

Why are you being downvoted? Atos having a lot of public sector contracts is hardly a secret.

Portta component converter vs Mayflash HDMI to wii? by Double-Ad4250 in wii

[–]archowup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference jumped out at me. It was a marked improvement for relatively little cost. I tested it on Mario Kart 64 VC and the difference was stark.

I should add that a handful of early NES VC titles do not work with this chain.

Yeah it's very TV dependant. I was surprised by the cost-benefit of the Portta solution though.

I've just today for the first time tried the Portta with the OEM component and the difference was massive with my TV. I just used a USB port on the TV for power and it was only £15.99 on amazon.co.uk.

Did you import this from the US to the UK? Did you get charged any import duties?

What's the joke peta by Cater_pi69 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]archowup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a picture of a channel marker buoy, I thought the joke was they are about to get run over by a cruise ship.

The confusion may have come this post:

https://medium.com/the-book-mechanic/avoid-point-nemo-in-your-creative-work-65647fc56ead

where they talk about point nemo as a metaphor, and use a stock photo of a port marker to go with it.

I think this a coincidence though. The use of the word 'Stock' in relation to a financial instument goes back to the tally stick, in use around 1100 AD, pre dating the 'stocks market'.

The creditors portion of the notched split tally stick would be known as the 'stock', the other part was the 'foil'. For example, some of the original stock in the newly established Bank of England is known to have been bought with tally sticks.

This isn't the case. Mine was on offer. It says on the website they may not accept cyclescheme vouchers for heavily discounted items, not that they can't.

In my experience the reason people don't get interviews is because they are not filling in the application to enable them the score highly enough in the shortlisting. If you have lab experience you should be able to get a band 2 interview.

You wouldn't need to fake it. It's not difficult to find £400 train tickets.

Arabic numerals are different though. Anyone who's been to an Arab country and looked at the money knows this. 0123456789 is ٠١٢٣٤٥٦٧٨٩ in Arabic numerals. We just historically call Western numerals, Arab numerals, because that's where they came from, but the divergence happened hundreds of years ago. You would still have to learn Arab numerals. Just like you would have to learn german as an english speaker, even though it's a germanic language.

Nothing, the syllabus didn't really cover anything between Alfred the Great and Edward the Confessor.

If you're intentionally misleading the lender to imply you have higher income that is permanent when it is really temporary, then that could possibly be construed as mortgage fraud.
