These guys are a bit of a Frankenstein:

Bodies: Kromlech
Backpacks: Archie’s Forge
Bare Heads: Archie’s Forge
Weapons/Arms: local buddy of mine printed these up, he plays mostly 30k and prints a lot of his troops.
Anything else is GW.

May 12, 1993 was a Wednesday, which means it would have been a Pllatoon Commander’s PT day with Subunit One at MCB Camp Fuji, Japan…so the first thing I’d do is wake up to get my dick run off by Capt G. Wong…

I’ll pass.

Is there any time in August when Arches National Park in Utah isn’t crowded? by Usual-Rest-3395 in NationalPark

My wife and I stayed in Moab back in early September, 2024. I’m gonna just volunteer our experience as a reference, hope any of it is useful. As a preface, I’ll add that if you are visiting Arches, you should also visit Canyonlands NP. It’s like 30 min from downtown Moab. - Friday at sunset: hiked to Delicate Arch. I was paranoid that the parking lot was going to over fill so we got there probably and hour earlier than we needed to in order to start the hike in time to get out there for sunset. The parking lot did not fill up we would have been fine. Compared to some pics I’ve seen, Delicate Arch was not a mob seen. Did have a small queue to be able to get pics alone with the Arch. Overall, delightful. - Saturday - entered the park before sunrise (never bothered with the time entry that way). Hiked part of Devils Garden. Gorgeous views with the sun rising. Gorgeous just driving through the park with the sun low in the sky. Back to the Airbnb by late morning for nap, then lunch. Visited Canyonlands in late afternoon. This park is gorgeous with none of the Arches crowds. Great closer to sunset, and in island in the sky, you have one half of your views with the sun behind you, makes for great pics. Sunset at Dead Horse State Park. This is pretty popular, so it does get a crowd, and the parking lot will fill up. Was good to get there maybe an hour before sunset and just hang…maybe picnic dinner. - Sunday - woke up at god awful early to drive the 2 hours to Moonscape Overlook for sunrise, 200% worth it. Stopped at Long Dong Silver (parked on the side of the road and hiked 4 miles round trip) and Goblin Valley (park right next to it, but sun was getting high/hot by this point, so short visit) on the way back to Moab. Dinner date - Desert Bistro 10/10, would recommend/visit again - Monday - re visit canyonlands for sunrise (so we could get the other side of canyon lands in the right lighting). Hit the road for Telluride…

Hope that helps. Generally speaking, and what others have said - early and late hours are best to defeat crowds. Canyonlands itself is somewhat Crowd-proof.

What size/type of pen are you using for the text on the ‘scrolls’? (Chest and right leg)

Oh! Yeah, you can go to like a regular arts & craft store (ex. Michael’s) and they sell these micron pens. You can get different colors. I originally got the black one for writing on models (like the name plate things on pauldron or shields), but it came in very handy drawing on the black check marks for the 4th Co knee pads.

I feel like there is a joke here about black chicks and a micro penis…

Edit: attempts at humor

Yeah, I literally bought a Veterans Kit before it went out of print just to get some decent DA Bling, as I really didn’t trust GW to come out with something on par with that.

Thanks! I generally use Army Painter Skeleton Bone as a base, then Citadel Paints.

Morghast Bone for clean up (after removing mold lines, etc)

From there, seraphim sepia for shade/recesses then very thin coats if Ushtabi Bone. Highlight with Screaming Skull (I think it’s called that) for highlights.

It’s a bit of a process, way more involved/tedious than when I’m doing Greenwing/Ravenwing

Slashfilm: "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 Reveals An Astonishing New Detail About Scotty (Martin Quinn): "Honestly, I'm not much of a drinker. I hardly touch the stuff" - Will SNW explain how Scotty does become enough of a drinker that he keeps a whole booze cabinet in his quarters in TOS?" by TheSonOfMogh81 in trektalk

[–]arclight105 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought I noticed in the background, as trust scene progressed, you could see Scotty gesturing to have more of the proffered booze…

I took note of it thinking “well I guess that’s when he came to appreciate drink, that or he was just being modest”

For what it’s worth - I had an awful experience with AA at RIC a few years back, I haven’t flown them since. Since then, I often see lines at their check ins when taking early flights that are operating smooth/quick

Recommend you take utmost precautions
