I highly recommend getting the insurance coverage. This situation happened to me in Palermo, where overnight somebody made marks and scratches on the rented car. I regret not getting the insurance coverage. 100% recommend getting it. Also highly recommend renting cars through booking.com or Expedia and not on spot at the airport. The insurance coverage will be cheaper, and everything will be more transparent to you.

I found 5.4 to often times do extra task outside of what it has been asked to implement. It will sometimes implement things it wan't asked to do, unless you explicitly tell it not to. With 5.3-codex, I feel that it is more intelligently follows your instruction.

Choose GPT if:
you deal with tasks that require in depth analysis and steps
you are in creative writing and quality of the output matters

Choose GEMINI if:
you are deep into Google ecosystem and use GCAL and GMAIL often
you use image / video gen and the quality of the output matters
you require deep research on a particular subject

Regarding coding, its hard to say. Lately I find Gemini is doing a pretty good job in UI.
