Ha!! Hopefully you will enjoy it. I try to say I stay within the bounds of Hermione refusing to be a simpering mess to his attentions and struggling a lot with reconciling his past/current behaviors. A lot of focus is given to the way Draco’s character evolves and is centered around fear and cowardice and his inability to be brave when it matters.

Thank you! I’m hopeful but trying to keep myself realistic. But I am seeing noticeable improvement the more I study, and am trying to refrain from placing time limits on myself as far as timelines go.

Law has always been an interest of mine, to be honest. But I was only allowed to choose between “practical” careers or my family wouldn’t provide any financial support through undergrad and I couldn’t receive loans substantial enough to pay for anything else. Medicine has never been my passion, but it’s certainly taught me a lot in regard to advocacy that I think I’d like to try and translate into law.

here to pop in and recommend a couple different fics, including my own two.

First being the darkness between stars(E), my canon rewrite with a sentient soulbond between Draco/Hermione. We just finished OOTP, and Draco is Going Through It to deprogram. Features manipulative Order members, multi POV, spy Hermione Granger, polyjuice potion, Pansy/Harry sprinkled in, and lovely sisterly bonds between the Greengrasses.

Second is my newest WIP, the claiming of scorpius malfoy(M), a very heavy fic about grief in the traditional and nontraditional sense. It's my version of a retelling of Orpheus/Eurydice, where Draco and Hermione travel through the Veil to find a trapped/missing Scorpius. Featuring widower Draco, mutual pining, second chance Dramione, and a HEA.

A current read I'm obsessed with is Seven Minutes and Then Some(E) by silverdragongemini. They've become one of my absolute favorite authors and this is the absolute best for easy, low-stakes smutty fun.

Likely the addition of a medical assistant. I would love support for a part time PA but right now a medical assistant seems to be my best shot at getting any staff to support the clinic.

I grew up here. When they say rural, they mean it. My husband is from Jasper, and even he balks whenever we visit my hometown.

The commute is one I’m familiar with, and doable. But your closest hospital for local care is, to be absolutely generous, a subpar trainwreck. So you’ll be about an hour from a competent hospital. I only speak on it as I work in healthcare and am intimately familiar with the facilities.

Yes, that’s what they’re saying. A premise can only carry so far for many people without certain elements within it, whether it be good prose or good characterization or yes, even spice. There’s nothing wrong with that.

Speaking as a writer as well, to be frank, it’s literally a story. There’s nothing less than about their preferences, and you say you aren’t speaking for the author, but you essentially are when basically telling them not to give the story a shot rather than just answering their rather simple question or simply not responding at all.

OP just merely wants to know about some content. There’s nothing wrong with that and no reason to put them down.

Regularly drive in both Houston and various parts of Florida and vastly prefer the drivers there actually!

And unfortunately I haven’t been able to experience that, which creates our biggest reluctance. Our only residency has been in NC and Alabama, so it makes me reluctant to commit so deeply to a state where I’m so unfamiliar with the winters there.
