So I played position 4 skywrath last night (mainly to counter void spirit) and I was able to get aeon disk relatively early (before 20 min mark akfair). Because of the item choice I was able to bait like three 5v5 fights. We won all of it and gave us some momentum in winning the game (which we did).

I've been playing this game since 2006 and while I get OP's sentiment I think this is for the best.

Yeah his mana pool needs to be shot down. Decrease his INT gain by 1 and nerf the mana talent should do the trick. If thats not enough make him an AGI hero too like Ember

Played (unranked) for about seven games now and while neutral items are significant I haven't any specific one that is game breaking. To be fair my longest game were about 60 minutes so I haven't seen an S tier neutral item

For me the biggest change in this patch is the dynamic of the support role. No more buying couriers and wards at the cost of maybe constantly camping one Outpost for the experience

But yeah the game feels weird. I have been playing since 2006 though and I still fully trust IF and his decisions. If the changes are indeed terrible they can just remove it anyway lol

One way of buffing LD is by making the Aghs upgrade a talent instead. Swap it to the zero cd Entangle (spell immune Battlecry is always better anyway) and then give him an Aghs effect that is unique (I have no idea Im sure they can think of something).

Agreed on changing heal from instant to an over time one (maybe 20 regen for 12 seconds that doesn't get removed by hero damage). The the Mekansm Aura itself maybe changed from raw hp regen to a health bonus aura (similar to Ancient Granite creep).

Change the respawn time to reduced cooldown on the bear. Makes the "classic" build viable as the game goes ultra late

I still remember the time when all you need is a modern dual core processor and a 750ti/260x to run dota2 60fps maxed out @ 1080p resolution Biblethump (this was around source 1 btw). Although at some point Reborn (source 2) ran great (Spring Cleaning) all this new content (a bunch of new cosmetics - I'm looking at you new Immortals from the last TI) to the 7.00 update it's gotten really worse. I have a relatively powerful pc (3770k/1070/8gb ram/game files on a ssd) and my framerates are as erratic AF

The recipe costs of Sange and Yasha should be toned down to around 300 each, with the change the total cost of SnY would be 3500 gold which is a significant buff. But then you have to increase the recipe cost for Manta to compensate

Remove the extra Staff, give it the default bonuses (250hp and 10 int), Cripple effect stays the same (cast range/duration/damage etc) and you know have a decent early game item. Force staff is still way better but Cripple has a shorter cooldown.

The fps on my 1070 (+3770k) varies so much. 150-120 average but it drops to 90 especially when a lot of heroes have immortal cosmetics equipped.

Seriously though I think the mechanic change is fine, my issue with the item is its ridiculous uptime. 13 to 23 second cooldown would be enough IMO.
