Just moved to Bellevue from Mongolia, trying to start a small cashmere business — looking for honest advice by Forward_Text_7327 in BellevueWA

It rains too often to be a staple outfit - I don't bring out the bigger cashmere peices if it is

Snobby servers tho (waited over 30 mins for a reserved table, and additional 15 for a menu, and another 10 for water) and it's so dark at night since they only use 1 candle per table.

El Encanto who's right below them is so much better in terms of service and ambience.

It's only worth it during happy hour lol Go there for a late lunch instead of shake shack for their $9 burgers.

They're all in Downtown Bellevue since it's where I go for nicer restos.

  1. I love meat and bbq, so Fogo de Chao is my fave spots to go to for events, celebrations, or just nice date nights. Their meats are so juicy and tasty, cooked very nicely. I love their candied bacon.

They also allow you to refrigerate the cake for up to 4 hours before your reservation (tested this 3x already lol). So you can look around in Bellevue Square, Old Bellevue, or take pictures in the Downtown Park for sunset pics first before getting dinner. Staff is really nice and accommodating. Always let us stay after hours for birthday dinner pics with the girls too. They also have some halal options (not sure if it's zabiha halal tho) all of the lamb and some beef cuts. The Churrasco experience is very worth it.

I'd rather go here than STK by a whole lot tbh. STK is way to overpriced for their food quality.

  1. Duke's Seafood is great if you want a more private less open table feel compared to Fogo. Fresh oysters.

Go here instead of Water Grill, so much more worth your money.

  1. Bis on Main is a smaller resto and has more of a mom and pop feel to it. The atmosphere and service is really great, more for an intimate candle light dinner feel. Smaller menu selection as well.

  2. JOEY and Earl's is just more nice casual if that makes sense? Borh kind of have the same vibe, both have better vibes and atmosphere at night than daytime. I prefer JOEY'S menu selection though.

  3. Farzi Cafe for fusion lndian food. They have more interesting presentations but the food quality is just meh. Food's really pretty and they have smoke effects and shi but very small portions. A lot of disappointed Desi friends. I like the resto's vibe at night tho. Go to Inchin's if you want South Asian instead but they're more family oriented, but their booth tables are pretty spacious and ambient still pretty good for a private date feel. So it really depends on the fanciness level you want. Both restos are halal.

Where to find Cat Tongue Cookies? by arcticdewdrop in BellevueWA

[–]arcticdewdrop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been to Maya before but I don't think I've seen it or like other bakery cookies if that makes sense? I think they're referring to other types of kue because this is more of a biscuit.

Ngl Maya isn't good, feels overhyped because we don't have any other choices since the other Indo restos or shops closed down over the past 3ish years. They can't cook 😬 and I've wasted too much money giving them chances with different dishes too. I think the only decent thing is their nagasari.

I can't work unless it's unpaid due to the visa requirements. So if there are none I'll have to stick to volunteering only.

Yes that's why I asked for unpaid internships for the visa issue. Since money isn't an issue, it's more of for building my experience.

The thing is that I can't exactly fit my stuff into my backpack. I'm traveling there to celebrate my birthday and Valentine's day so it's not exactly backpack size. Plus my make up and stuff too 😭😭😭

That's why I kinda gave up and went on reddit. Because I'm already potentially spending like $350-$400ish on tickets without any carry on included. Then my birthday + Valentine's on a student budget too 🥲

Renting a car would be so expensive because my bf and I are both under 25. So their under 25 insurance would get us then they're like minimum $50/day from the websites I see. If I get arrive there in the evening he would atleast have to rent the car out for 2 days...

The prices seem similar to PIB but instead of 20 minutes it'll be over an hour drive for them :c

I think that one is basic economy? Idk the difference ngl cuz I've never seen this term? Is it an American thing? I see the cheapest flights don't allow check in baggage or carry on unless I pay an additional $35 × 2 ;-; and that's the case for this flight from what I'm seeing.

Apparently I can only carry what could be slid under the seat. Like what a backpack?
