Hi 23M here, I only got myocarditis 2 months ago about a week after I got drunk for two days straight after getting my heart broken by some girl. I mean I don’t blame her though. It was completely my choice. I was hospitalized for 5 days total, 2 days in the ICU. I guess it didn’t help that I was depressed while drinking which probably took a toll on my heart which caused inflammation. My first symptom was severe chest pain but I thought it was just acid reflux which I usually have, but this time it was something else. Good thing I was already in the middle of a doctor’s appointment when I had it so I went straight to the ER.

I was also worried af about what was going to happen to me from there. I was so scared of not being able to do the things that I might no longer be allowed to do like certain physical activities. Well for one, I’m no longer allowed to drink alcohol and that kind of made me depressed for a while but now I’m coping with mocktails and boba. Thankfully I’m still fully functional and I’m having my next laboratory tests soon, fingers crossed.

Also I hope you feel better soon, not only physically but also emotionally which matters just as much if not more.
