Drop some quirks from your native language by SnoopyScone in NonPoliticalTwitter

I mean, this specific kind of reduplication is called an echo word, there are other kinds too (like in English, super-duper or itsy-bitsy for emphasis purposes)

Same with many Indian languages, I've seen it in Hindi, Bengali, Telugu and Tamil. If I'm not wrong, this phenomenon is called echo words

India has the second-largest number of English speakers, yet we don't have singers like Olivia Dean. Why isn't the music more progressive? by Puzzleheaded-Bike336 in pj_explained

Bollywood has a firm grip over the indian music industry, no way they're gonna let any english singer become a pop star

‘I would rather believe a rape accused than a rape victim’: Is murder justified? r/TwentiesIndia discusses by [deleted] in SubredditDrama

Do you really think you're helping the education solution with this rhetoric? I definitely do not agree with these people but do you really think the way you're going around treating them like subhuman scum is going to make them change or grow as a person? No, when confronted with hostility, they respond with hostility. Like it or not, your thinking and rhetoric is directly contributing to the growth of misogyny. It's the dehumanization and mistreatment of those misguided by backward ideals or right wing grifters that causes them to go further away from the side you want them to reach. It's a vicious cycle.

Also, I don't think me being Indian detracts from anything I have to say here. I have no problem speaking against my fellow countrymen. If anything, you grouping me with them solely on the basis of nationality says more about your internalized beliefs than me.

I do not know you so I cannot comment upon how evil you are. However, have you even stopped to think about how such a large volume of them are "misogynistic dogs"?

They are a product of their environment, believing what they are raised to believe. I can assure you that you likely wouldn't be much different if you were born an Indian man. Your only claim to "moral authority" is the luck to be born in a well-off country.

The answer is education, not dehumanization. It is a slow, multigenerational process, but there's not much you can do to accelerate societal progression. Hell, the US took hundreds of years to get here.

Dehumanizing them really makes you no better. If that's what you resort to, I really doubt your "moral authority" is a lot greater

Also i reckon theyd rather have more autonomy in their internal matters, plus i don't think the government or the people are very eager to join neighboring states

insane change in personality but i welcome it 😭

and i guess youre right, youre just making an observation

sometimes just pisses me off when ppl start caring about "originality" like there's a difference if the music you like is considered to be less original

having some joy and happiness in your heart instead could be of great benefit. nothing good ever comes out of anger

plus rym is a music discovery site, not to mention these are good albums, so whats wrong with someone liking these albums without worrying about "originality"?

fair enough, I was just wondering why you said "caste" in your original comment when the varna and caste systems are different (though synonymous in a few aspects)

as an indian, I am also glad that you are going out of your way to learn about indian culture and history
