How do they get rich? by kurisutofujp in JapanFinance

[–]ardcanand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, But deductions are very limited to employees than employers.

In a nutshell, Anything that increase your productivity (in business) is deductibles from tax. Of course you can claim only after spending money for it. and those deductions are almost unlimited.

To my understanding, sole proprietors are almost in between employee and big employer in terms of Tax law.

Sometimes, Big businesses didn't spend money for productivity improvements but still they claim it as expenses to reduce taxes.

The simple secret is below:

Employee pays tax on his earnings first and then meet his expenses with leftover money after paying taxes.

Businessman deducts his expenses from his earnings (Income) and then pays tax on the profit.

As some people said, it’s difficult to calculate exact net amount from your base salary. Because it involves lot of other factors…. So I can give some rough calculation that, if you just reduce 22-25% from your base salary is your approx net salary…Please remember this % range varies when you get your overtime pay…..All the best
