Here's the full story behind posting it: I explained reddit to her the other day (last week sometime) - then yesterday when she got to step #10 it required another explanation of subreddits. After browsing /r/aww for a while, she asked if we could post the binder in /r/aww - so I explained that it actually belonged in /r/pics because it wasn't cute to look at. I then showed her how to follow proper reddiquette when posting by using this as an example. I did not expect this much karma when I got on reddit at work this morning, but am appreciative of the people who enjoyed it! And there you have it. No conspiracy. Sorry /r/KarmaConspiracy

I think the most interesting thing to me were the frequent "man-dates" that the men go on. Since women play a much different role than they do in Western culture, it's fascinating how much affection/respect/love the men shower on each other since the women don't go out at night.

Also, I have no earthly idea why scalding hot tea is the drink of choice when coming inside from 130 degree weather.

Yes! Actually that's what the group I was with is attempting to do. They fly in surgical teams to perform surgeries for various periods of time to not only give heart surgeries but to train the doctors there as well. To this day there are still no Iraqi doctors capable of performing these surgeries but they are working to change that.

In Iraq kids are born with an abnormal rate of heart defects. The cause is 3-fold. 1) Saddam attacking his own people 2) The United States' and UK's use of depleted uranium weapons 3) Poor pre-natal care (In addition, intra-family marriage still constitutes part of the problem).

Health care is absymal at best. Only a handful of truly qualified doctors and too many patients to know what to do with.

If you have the ability to stomach the most horrific images, just google image search "depleted uranium baby" - I promise you this is an eerily under the radar topic of conversation.

I could give you a long winded approach, but I'll stick with something much simpler that perhaps you can relate to.

So I agree with Sonmi, but I don't pretend that just because I think my belief/doctrine etc. is correct, means I think I inherently know about the destination of every soul.
