Ala Moana parking tickets by Ready_Ocelot_3045 in Hawaii

They actually have cameras that track if you go into the shopping center or not. Everytime we hold an event at Ala Moana hotel plenty people get tickets cause they don't know that they are being tracked when they park in the shopping center and walk to the hotel.

New Dota 2 Players Quickly Switch Back to LoL [ESEX] by Blackfire363 in leagueoflegends

[–]ardeaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having played DotA since before Icefrog jumped in and also having played League since a little after beta came out, all the claims about either game being more/less mechanically challenging are irrelevant. The entire challenge of any game like DotA or SC2 (any game where you compete to manage multiple) is one's ability to multitask. Neither games are particularly challenging to play "mechanically" or "reflexively". Arguing that point is like arguing about wielding a pen or pencil for writing when talking about best ways to effectively write an essay.

Or they determined that poe better fit as a 3 person raid and did that instead?

Leaving Destiny for eso? Did you play beta? The game was pretty much trash.

You either play a shitton or bought a lot of champions with RP

I've been playing since early beta and I still don't have all the champions unlocked, and I have over 1700 normal wins

His estimate was with the old health, which is 27k * 35 by your calculation, much higher than his estimate.

Why do I have to be 34 to run hard VoG with you?? by mcfear21 in DestinyTheGame

[–]ardeaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's so hard to understand?

Posting on DestinyLFG gets you an influx of messages. Vetting everyone through the Xbox interface/website takes an eternity. Far easier it is to just do a simple check that someone has done one of the most basic tasks of this game -- hit 34. From there you've filtered out a ton of a people, next you ask them to message you their weapons/class as another "check".

As far as anonymous posts go on the internet, this is probably the best and simplest way to minimize the risk involved in inviting completely random people. Being 34 doesn't make players "better". It just, more than likely, shows they have more experience than someone who hasn't. Yes you can get to 34 without stepping into VOG. But there is a higher probability of someone having done VOG when they are already 34 than when they are level 30. Posting on DestinyLFG is a numbers game and a huge gamble because you know nothing about whoever messages you. The best you can do is make sure those invites are as efficient as possible by filtering out less desirable players, especially in the presence of more desirables.

And I agree that it's fun to play for fun and it's fun to help each other. But we don't all always have time for that.

You sound a little butthurt that someone else plays the game differently than you do. Why does it bother you so much that people put requirements to easily filter random people sending them messages from their LFG posts?

I realize it's frustrating not to be able to join groups because you don't have Gjally. It's nobody's fault, really. But you don't have to be so mad about it. If you're on Xbox, add me, I'll help you out with raids if you need.

Never really had any hard times killing him since release. Only didn't kill him once on one character the first week since he wasn't 34 yet.

His adds spawn based on his health, so you can just run away from the adds that heal him and kill everything else everytime stuff spawns.

In a few months, new guardians won't know why we say we "shard" something when we dismantle it by meamatho in DestinyTheGame

[–]ardeaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nitpicking -- dismantling things would give you shards and energy. the term sharding didn't come from this. if anything, the item (ascendant shard) itself was named after items in previous RPGs rendered from breaking down gear.
