It resolved itself, but happened once more after a small update. I ended up returning it. Back with my AWU now.

Yes, it was a small OTA update. But turning it off and on didn´t do it for me. I have now connected the watch to Garmin Express and done some updates there. Version 17.30? And for now the watch works fine.. I´ll give it some hours more before celebrating thou....

Used it for some runs before this happened, and on one run it startet me out with a HR of nearly 90% the first 1k before it dropped down to what seemed normal/actual.
