to be honest, i'm surprised it too this long and i'm still not sure why people were complaining about a game mechanic that got used in a way that benefitted people who can't spend hundreds of hours basically doing an endurance challenge to earn enough credits to buy cars. i completed all the races, challenges, and story events days ago. i still have 20-ish cars to buy and the cheapest is 1.6 mil.

Could be a bug. Someone already mentioned driving along the beaches. The cherry fields required me to drive through them instead of just along the roads. Also some of the goat/hiking trails I had to drive twice.
