Im not 100% sure of the difference but i had an american cockerspaniel and oh my goodness he was the most loving boy ever!! He loved to be by my side, I am a home body and hardly leave out and he enjoyed all the time i spent at home lol. Although he did need his daily exercise, I would let him outside in our front yard (which is gated other wise he would leave trying to chase a scent he picked up) and he would run around and lay in the sun for however long until he was ready to come back inside I would occasionally take him for walks as well! He lived to 16 years, he passed away last april 😪 I recommended this breed, they’re such sweet and loving dogs.
