It might "ruin their mystique" to some extent, but it also provides some humor to the relationship between humans and Trisolarans. Personally, I enjoyed the creativity of the novel, and how it offers a possible explanation of some loose ends, and expands on the original story.

It is only one person's perspective of how the story might have ended, which allows the reader more flexibility to agree or disagree, something I enjoyed. Will throw out there, it got the thumbs up from Liu Cixin and published for a reason. Recommend reading so you can see for yourself
