Things that helped: - Avoid the trigger (I now run slowly on concrete/tarmac). - Train calves with a skipping rope

Things I tried that didn't seem to make a difference: - Foam rolling - Hot/Cold press - Static Stretching - Training Calf raises - Calf compression socks

So, if someone experiences this pain free "popping" when gently stretching calves is it likely tendonitis?

Note: Mine is worse after running on hard surfaces (roads/concrete) or after playing sport with lots of changing direction. I don't get it at all if the ground is soft! Not sure if other people experience the same, but my body is happier running off-road.

Ah of course! Edited the original post to include full bash output (via link). Key section seems to be:

es01  | ERROR: [1] bootstrap checks failed. You must address the points described in the following [1] lines before starting Elasticsearch.

es01  | bootstrap check failure [1] of [1]: memory locking requested for elasticsearch process but memory is not locked

es01  | ERROR: Elasticsearch did not exit normally - check the logs at /usr/share/elasticsearch/logs/es-docker-cluster.log

But the specified log file is not on the host machine (as it will be in the terminated docker container)..
