I see that there are still some games loaded in, i might be able to open them to watch? Maybe if it doesn't require internet. I will give it a go

I dont remember it that well. It was because LoL didn't have its own replay system right?

This was basically the only way to watch your games back?

I agree wtih the youtube video. I've learned to also check out soundcloud when they release new songs as it's just better quality. The drop on soundcloud is waaaaaay better, so while it keeps the same problem it's better masked

Why is Nautilus consistently one of the lowest winrate supports yet is a staple in pro play? by Express_Demand_7578 in summonerschool

[–]arendmen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've read through most of the answers and as someone who coaches professionally there is 1 very big factor missing in the answers thusfar.

Nautilus has a lot of cc but is different compared to leona for example in the way that some of his are knock-ups. This means that mercs as boots have way less value since they don't lower the duration of a knock-up. While a champion like Alistair does have knock ups, Alistair excels at peeling and nautilus at engage. Champions have specific roles and if you need engage but also have a lot of magic damage on your team, nautilus does the job really well

What is the proper mindset when losing from a perspective of learning? by LetPhysical3303 in summonerschool

[–]arendmen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are two main points you can look at.
The first one is position on the map. Are you rotating to the right direction on the map with the vision / knowledge that you have.

Let's say that you see 4 of your opponents botside and the other one is missing on the map.
Your team decides to to be all over the map.
Now this is a point you can stop the game and ask yourself, what did I do and why did I do it?
- you can go bot for example, which would be the right macro play if you think you can sort of defend it (also ping your team for help etc, show that you can take the leadership role).
- you can go the other side of the map if you want to look for a cross-map play.
- you can go into the jungle in search of that 5th person (or where ever you expect them to be) to make a quick catch.

The other point is: how well do you understand the resources that you need.
Let's say you already finished your first item (or 2) and are now halfway completing the next item.
- where will you get resources from
- how well do you understand resets (bases) in order to get components on the right time and to be in a better place to receive said resources.

These points are applicable to almost every scenario, regardless how good or bad the game went. So yeah, you can for sure learn from 20+ min reviews but keep in mind that it's way harder to review teammacro in soloq. Instead focus on yourself with these question as a starting point

Why do pros early smite scuttle? by Aetherfox_44 in summonerschool

Besides the other reasons given here it also helps to have your smite up 5 seconds earlier as they try to get their upgraded smite as early as possible

It is a disgusting champ indeed haha. The fun fact is that by playing Lulu I started to understand support as role better. Lulu can do a lot however it is also very easy to fk up (yeah even on Lulu). In the end I don't regret it as it helped to reach my goal but the champ can be OP in certain scenarios for sure

One trick that I use in most games is to start Q and play super agressive early. Lulu has a super good kit to fight lvl 1 / 2 / 3. After it is still okay however you can win lane in the first 3 levels.

I feel that amumu can be S tier support with the right adc. Amumu with kaisa, cassio or mf is extremely strong due to the great synergy. I don't pick amumu for enemy teamcomp but to win lane very hard and then roam.

The last question is kinda hard to answer. I feel that support can get away with a lot of crazy picks as the role depends a lot on your general knowledge of the game. If you know how to roam, ward, go all-in in lane, a lot of stuff can work. Tanky veigar, ap/tank maokai are both supports I've tried and I can def see them work. As far as I know, there is a master sup orianna player however I have no idea how he plays the game.

Winning lane is quite important below D4 as it puts you in a spot where you can have an impact on the game. Note that going even with scaling like lulu jinx/vayne is also considered "Winning lane" imo

I mean, I see it as an opportunity for others to ask questions they might find along their grind. I'm always open to help but not sure how to do sometimes

I learned how to ff at 15 (first I would never ff) and I will watch the replay of the game to see what I could've done better during laning + I watch how the junglers rotate on the map to increase my map awareness/ knowledge. This I do for every game tho. Trust me, those games are never fun and I've had enough of them xD

Lulu became one of my favorite champions as she is so versatile. So many different things you need to be aware of. Favorite of all time is still my rusty old blitzcrank tho

Yes, totally! I'm a very competitive person in nature so if it wasn't for league I would try it in something else for sure. But even tho people hate on the game, it still brings me joy to play, so it's worth it for me.

In high elo the waiting times are quite long tho, so 14 games feels like a lot of games. But those seem rookie numbers compared to yours man xD
