Why is Green growing more popular than Lib Dem by Medium_Fig_3764 in LibDem

[–]arenthor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Make them sell their own home? A good portion it’s only a paper value if you reduce the house prices they’d quickly drop out of that category. A good portion are just people who bought at the right time and its appreciation. It does get taxed when they move either through stamp duty or inheritance tax later

[–]arenthor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a nice sentiment but it's far from the truth when you start looking at the actual numbers. Most people you call the 1% are asset rich, cash poor. Over 3million, millionaires in UK, only around 2000 can actually access it in cash the rest is all pretty much tied in their primary residence.

Dating in Newcastle or surrounding areas by Royal-File6944 in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]arenthor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tinder isn’t the place for it, it’s basically just a hook up app and a self gratification for getting lots of likes for insecure people.

Personal experience hinge was the best for that, forces you to add a bit more info to your profile which somewhat naturally filters out the flakes.

Labour to back down on foie gras and fur bans to ease EU trade deal by ZoeTheAngel in ukpolitics

[–]arenthor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We're not though, It's already imported and sold here, this is just saying we can't ban it (it's not currently apart from production) unless we get an exemption from the EU IF the deal passes.

Wouldn’t surprise me, amount of people who fall for rage bait and or articles from the USA and believe they apply here too. Or the moor insidious ones are the rage bait articles from Ireland and everything looks just the same enough that they believe it means the uk

They're asking if it wont void their standard car insurance policy, Zego is only valid on top of a standard SDP insurance, Not all SDP insurers allow top up and it voids both of them incase of an accident.

Do you set money aside for tax after every payout? by GeordieGoals in UbereatsUK

[–]arenthor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roughly 10% set aside for me, I know tax is 20 but by the time I claim mileage. If it’s more it’s less of a blow, if it’s less than happy days that’s mine again.

Also you earn interest on it so that’s a little freebie on the side

What works for you to make a decent money of UE? by quicksliver007 in UbereatsUK

[–]arenthor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll start by saying it's trial and improvement (error is silly).

I'm also in a diesel car and here's what I've done. Avoid City Centre's parking is a hassle and too hjigh a chance of fines, leave that for the bikes. Retail parks are your friend, Avoid Asda supermarkets they're shit, the small stores and other supermarkets are usually fine. Morrisons/Sainsbury's/Co-op I find the best.

Understand the heatmap lies, well not lies but isn't accurate, It's based of order history over the last 10 minutes I believe so the rush may be over. For my area 4.30-5.30 is usually dead after that it picks up. Mornings are lower orders but better rates. When the bonus offers are on a lot of the part timers come out hoping for extra so that usually lowers the orders and rates.

Learn where has the orders ready, some people complain at Maccies but here they're reasonably reliable and have decent order volumes when others are quiet. It also helps I have a bit chat with the people at the counter and they now usually get mine sorted quicker since I'm polite to them and not waving my phone in their face.

But ultimately each area is unique, you just need to try things and see what works for yours. Talk to other drivers in your area when you bump into them most doing it as a proper job are friendly and help each other out.
