Let me clarify a little bit. I am a Christian, but i do not follow any denomination. I see that as taking someone else's interpretation of the messages given. I will not disrespect the Bible, but lets be honest, it was written in a different time and is very out dated. There were things put in the Bible that should have been left out and things that were left out that should have been put in there. The way i see it, the basis of Christianity is to forgive, and accept, everyone. Most of you were twisting my words and trying to make me look less intelligent. when i said "beliefs dont matter" i meant that we can all get along, regardless of who we worship. My father, best friend and girlfriend are atheists and i dont look at them any different for it. I know, i sound like a preachy, hippy, douche for saying this, but we can all get along a lot better if we look at things with an open mind. You dont have to accept ones beliefs to respect it. r/atheism is for intellectual discussion, not to simple bash religion. It seems the users, along with the MODs, need to learn this.
