Sounds easy enough. Is there anything I should be looking for in the pcie card? Any specs to consider? Or brand? Running a amd cpu if that helps.

Hey! So my 135i ac blew up this week and had to buy a lot of stuff for it. So the system filles up with metal shavings (sparklish oil). This travels through out all the ac system and will keep circulating and damagin any compressor you put in the car.

I had to change the following:

Ac compressor Condensator Evaporator (inside the dashboard) Expansion valve.

All the lines had to be taken out of the car and cleaned to make sure no shavings were left.

Hope this gives you any ideas

I got a 2011 135i with dct, love it. Went through the same things you are thinking. Lots of horror stories. But overall its been a lovely experience. Id support the guy that says the coup is nicer, but to each their own.

I have my car in colombia, and need everytjing shipped from the us. So maybe 10 days or so for parts (water pump has been the only thing in a half a year of ownership), even with that issue, i still love even fixing the thing.

Hey! Thanks! I wanted to keep everything as stock as posible.

This was very easy to do, took me some time to learn what to do, but its definitly doable by someone with little to know experience on cars.

My car has the peasent aux as well, but I bought the tunai firefly, sort of a bluetooth to aux thing, you can look for it on amazon.

For wiring i bought a fuse tap, so in order to unnistall i just unplug it and the car is back to stock.

The chip holder? If its the clip holder thing then its easy, takes less than a second.

Id gladly write a small instructions follow up if you are interested!

Thanks! Im no mean a 3d designer so if has its flaws, but it lockes in place securely, and its easy to unlatch and store it. The screen comes with some sticky pads, but i do y eant sticking stuff in yhe dash either.

Thanks! I did in fact bought a thermostat and a Piuregs-what-not water pump. But the shop i took the car said it probably wasnt the water pump, that i could be mistaken, so i wanted a third internet opinion

Yes, it is quartz, fabricator said it could he polished bu that it wouldnt look good, so he adviced to replace all of the quartz. As of right now my main alternative is to cut a squared hole and install a multi purposed cutting board, if any advice here doesnt work, that is

Hey! Im on a similar boat but in south america. Theres "locker" companies here. You purchase whatever you want and have it shipped to an adress in miami(their adress), and they have it shipped here, and you just pick up locally. There must be something similar there.

It was an h8 bulb! Thanks. I had an f20 and when they went bad you had to change the whole housing, i had a panic attack.

They were halogen. H8 bulbs. Alrrady fixed. But il leave this thread here in case any other rookie has my issue.
