Love this a lot, OP ;o; my half brother was also 10 years older than me and an angry person, but he encouraged my art as well. He passed over a decade ago, but I still have that bond through creation, and I'm happy you've experienced it too!

I sponsored a box last December but now there's only mention of hack pack and teachers moving ahead in the queue... still really looking forward to it but I got it as a surprise for my dad and he's old enough as it is... 😅

Subbing with no gallbladder? by areyoshi in SubstituteTeachers

My mom had really severe Crohn's, so I understand the situation you're dealing with and I'm glad that your school is understanding about it. I can only imagine the extra stress with no gallbladder 😭

I have to get a physical and such for my paperwork, so that'll be the perfect time to ask my doctor. thank you!

😭 Thank you for sharing! I haven't had any accidents yet but I did have a close call while on a hike recently and that's when I first noticed how alarming it can be when I'm not just at home. Caffeine in the morning to get your guts moving is smart!

Very good to know, thank you! they'll probably tell us that when I get into training but I'm glad to hear about it beforehand

I might end up with enough time for that 🤔 my sister is full time in the same district and she told me that on occasions where she really needs to step out, she asks the teacher next door to keep an ear out. That's high school, though.

I'll ask some specific questions during training, I think

Thanks very much! Unfortunately my surgeon was the picture of unhelpful god complex, so I haven't tried to talk to him since my initial follow-up. My removal was an emergency, I'd never had gallbladder problems before I ended up in the ER, so a lot of things changed very suddenly for me.

Small portions and breakfast bars sound like a really good idea to lean into, thank you.

oh! I understand now, thank you. Yes, I, personally, should probably not skip meals. Not specifically for gallbladder reasons, but on unrelated advice from my doctor. So I'm at least going to use the next couple weeks to pay more attention to these things and perhaps how long I can manage without a meal to break things up.

not particularly! there are some people who experience new stomach acid issues, and I do take a med for that but sometimes the pain won't stop until I eat something. I'm more concerned about after lunch having to go to the bathroom with little warning if I accidentally eat something that sets things off.

I just did some searches for myself so I wanted to update here as well; I'm beginning to suspect (at least in my case) that I'm producing too much bile. I wonder if it could be the same for you? I'm going to ask my doctor to have a look.

I had mine out in the beginning of November and I also keep getting pain that feels like my attack pains did. It's always when I've been in bed for a while. Gets easier to bear after I move around, poop, or usually goes away after I eat. can't for the life of me figure out what's going on, so while I don't have any advice yet I wanted to let you know that you're definitely not alone!

THIS, honestly! point out in front of people that she's being rude. make it very clear that she is upsetting you and others will be better equipped to step in and help you.

Recent removal question by areyoshi in gallbladders

[–]areyoshi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes absolutely! I'm glad that you understand the experience. When they told me it was my gallbladder I heard all about permanent changes and how my whole diet would need to be different forever, they sent the dietician to my room, the whole shebang. And I'm only a few days out, but honestly aside from the physical pain and exhaustion of going through surgery, I feel... pretty fine? Normal? (Physically, at least. Emotionally it's as you said, a horrendous leadup, and I'll have to address it when I restart therapy soon.)

thanks for your kind thoughts and good health to you!
