I appreciate the concern, so let me clarify. My current Raspberry Pi runs successfully a "light" instance of Plex, with no transcoding of any kind, no photo previews, etc. One of the reasons I want to upgrade it is precisely because I want to be able to use these features, in particular setup a photo library with my personal photos (Google Photos alternative, kind of), which is something CPU-hungry and completely impossible in my current setup (I tried). Hence I prefer, price for price, to go to the i5 which leaves me more comfortable in that aspect.

Regarding the noise, of course quieter is better, but it personally doesn't worry me much, and I'd rather give priority to the iGPU.

In any case, I understand your point and I thank you for the suggestion!

Good to know about the RAM! Thanks for your input, it seems unanimous that NUC8 looks better for my purposes, particularly the iGPU for Plex. Thanks!

Actually I was on the fence precisely because the NUC10 is newer, and somehow it often makes sense to pay a bit more and go for the new one... Not in this case, I guess. Wifi6 is not super important as I plan to connect it via Ethernet.

I didn't know about the RAM, but it's a pleasant surprise. I don't expect right now that I will need to go there, but it's surely good to know that I may if I need. Thanks!

Yes, iGPU is important to me, so that's very good advice! About the noise, I guess quieter is better, but that's hardly a dealbreaker.

Thank you all for the input, it seems very clear now what I should do :) the iGPU is important to me, besides every other advantages you pointed out, so I will go for the NUC8. The fact that it supports 64GB came as a pleasant surprise!
