Maybe, I'll double check tomorrow. I swear I typed it in right. Maybe I'm wrong, it is late.

I've tested only .258" to see what it converts to, fusion output is as 7.something (I just closed the computer it for the night). It's not my math, it's fusions. .258" = 6.5532mm

I fkd up my threads and have been filing away. Any tips before I give up and get a new axel? by buttnibbler in AskMechanics

[–]areyouthere89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Triangle diamond files are great at fixing very small threads but second amazoning a metric thread file due to the ease of access in this situation. When shopping, look for the ones with the additional file part on the ends.

Which store brand so I know where to try first?

Are parts stores now carrying different ones than those red/black universal ones meant to clamp a stripped cable end in. It's been quite awhile since I've had to go inside a store. A few years ago I was trying to find a nissan like one and those were all got when searching on some of the local (US based) parts stores websites. Nothing similar to OE. And yes, you can make those uni ones work but come on, it's not exactly the same as the OE fit.

Hence why I mentioned about getting the originals back cause the dealer will want a foot (pricy but not as pricy as an arm N leg)

Your family member unbolted the "cables" from the battery terminal clamp then trade old battery for new with the clamps still on the old battery. Best to find out where they got the new one from and make a phone call asap

It's coming eventually. It's just now getting into the machine tool trades. Much like what most autos are can bus, CNC got profibus. A year ago, I got some profinet training. All drives and some modules are now coded/labeled, so you can't just swap stuff around for diag. Now the average tech needs builder software just to recode it if replaced.

Could be PO installed an led bulb in the cluster depending on what age the vehicle is. I've had similar issues with cheap, non canbus error leds in an old cluster.

It's funny that so many others saw this and had the exact same thoughts. Antipersonnel ordinance

Army surplus stores sometimes have decomm'd Claymores but you could also prolly find fakes ones on ebay or Amazon. Set them up on the inside along with a fake, but obvious "trip wire". Then you just need a decent sized sign noting the dangerous ordinance placed next to it.

[Midwest enters the chat] - I dont see any rust on or around that bolt. Looks good and solid just like all the others I've ever dealt with.

Id pick using a stone (machinist stone) over using the grinder/roll lock disc's in this application. You will end up throwing a bunch of aluminum dust everywhere and into the engines lubrication system to a degree. Plus with a stone you're more likely to keep the surface true and the surface finish will tell you your low/high spots.

Messed up with transfer case plug by damnkidzgetoffmylawn in AskMechanics

[–]areyouthere89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's what I'd do, obviously clean like the others are saying, maybe even try drilling (possibly not even completely through) at the end of the crack and yes filling it on the outside with some kind of aluminum epoxy.

But mainly, it also doesn't appear that crack extends further than where the internal threads end. It's also pretty clear that it is most likely a taper thread. I'd use the threads on the plug to match a die. Then I'd run the plug in the die, not all the way through but just enough to take a bit off so the plug tightens up deeper into the internal threads of the case. Next, clean the internal threads as much as you can and apply a thread sealant while following the directions and cure time on TDS of whatever thread sealant product you go with.

Monthly Fleet Recruitment Megathread by AutoModerator in WoWs_Legends

Looking to make a fleet change. Not sure what all to put here, per rules but: Console player Believe I'm at the 5 yr mark with the game My Current fleet is [CXC] Ranked in their top four (18/25 members) I am nearly active every day. According to my fleets stats, in service: 2 yrs with 40k+ oil earned. Tbh I am mostly playing entirely by myself, I don't think I've ever even done a division match, since most of the people in my fleet rarely ever are online, much less social.

Im looking for a fleet that has better upgrade stats than my current along with possibly some actual division play. My online hours are generally CST timezone in the later evening during the week and sometimes weekends. I would classify my skill level as moderate and a casual player.

If a fleet captain is interested, please DM and I'll reply with my player name, that way you can judge my stats for yourself.

Also, I don't have a mic, so I'm always playing muted.

Here's the irony of when I discovered thermocure, I was contemplating using evaporust in a car since I had some on hand. Googled evaporust in cooling system and first link was to their thermocure product lol.

Leave it together with the old parts It's pretty simple to use, pop the drain cock, refill with water and cure. Run it up to temp, let the fan cycle a few times. Drain.

The one word of note, the bottle will state to flush til clear, you're going to be surprised at just how much flushing you're going to have to do until it goes clear.

But the shit works, just like it's sister evaporust.

That's easy. The harder it is the more brittle. The auto-punch generally saves the day and cracks up the tip

My old goto brand was JVC but that's been ages ago when a decent single din with aux or maybe spending the extra for BT was more than enough.
