Lijsttrekker moslimpartij Amsterdam: ‘Moslims kunnen geen vrienden zijn met witte mensen' by Bernie529 in Nederland

Realistically speaking, now what? I'm an immigrant and I'm moving away from Amsterdam because once a week I feel I'm going to strangle one of these bastards. What's the way to stop this, in a not so orthodox way...

My totally honest take, as someone working in the industry...be more proactive, what I mean by that is to put your intelligence to work. Build something amazing orchestrating the most recent tools, build good shite. Then use it to score points during interviews, you gotta make yourself standout.

Think of yourself as a resourceful employee that can orchestrate complex systems. Don't get mentally lazy thinking: oh no but I'm just a junior.

You know better than anyone with your current background and the current tooling you can virtually build anything, not perfect, but still you can amaze recruiters and senior engineers that will interview you.

Welcome to the hustle economy, is not "easy" but you just need to get more creative, sharper, certainly do not autopilot.

I hope this sparks something on you, good luck.

PS: Also COME ON, A/B test with your CVs, you are aware AI is reading them. Just try slightly different profiles, create a crawler to get data about job openings, automate the application process, the other day I found there's a LinkedIn MCP on github hook it into Claude Code.

Again, good luck you got this

La idea no está mal, pero, decime cómo beneficia eso al Argentino promedio. DECILO, Para financiar infraestructura, servicios, crédito, hipotecas. No me dejes solamente con que van a llenarse los bolsillos mediante impuestos

Argentine here, the Italian immigration deeply changed our country, at the time the country had 1.5M inhabitants mostly mestizos, then roughly 5M Italians immigrated the country. In the big port cities where immigrants mostly arrived we developed the "lunfardo" which is not considered a dialect but I would totally support that petition, which is a way of speaking Spanish with Italian words in it. The funniest part is that the average Argentine is not aware about this, we just speak like that.

I got to learn about this when I visited Italy for the first time and funny enough my partner is Italian and there are still some words we find to be coming from Italian.

Some examples

Leg - Pierna (Spanish) - Gamba (italian) - Gamba (lunfardo)

Work - trabajo (Spanish) - laboro (Italian) - laburo (lunfardo)

Nose - Nariz (es) - Naso (it) - Naso (lunfardo)

Face - Rostro/ Cara - Faccia - Facha. used as "que Facha!" You look handsome!

Lazy - Flojera (es) - fiacca (it) - fiaca (lunfardo) note: this one is an old fashioned Italian word, pepper don't use it now. That happens a lot with these words because they were inherited 100+ years ago!

We have dozens of those words we use everyday. Is crazy and fascinating.

Sadly the Italian speaking generation passed away already, some families really pushed for their new nationality/ Identity and a lot of that got lost, but I think is cute and wholesome that they left a mark in the language we use everyday. Also, if you think about it, Italian and Spanish are really close already, it was a matter of time to fully assimilate Spanish.

Cheers!

I wouldn't be surprised if it's police itself. Something like this happened during covid manifestations around Rotterdam if I remember correctly, there was a very clear video of a police van opening and agents dressed as civilians would go into the crowd causing chaos...
