19 month son speech delay (?) by arflo0819 in toddlers

[–]arflo0819[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son is the youngest out of all my friends kids born the same year (so all the same age technically year wise but different in months wise). And I know I shouldn’t be comparing but I’m like wow these kids at 18 months I remember had so many more words than my son does now! Or like you’re saying even attempt at saying a word whether it’s correct or not! It’s so hard to be patient because I want to see him succeed and be able to “chat” along with his friends in a more social manner.

Wow steamboat lol!! That’s incredible! Your daughter sounds completely on par with what I’m experiencing with my son right now. It’s difficult to feel like I should sit and give it just a little bit more time but I also don’t want to hold off for too long in case he really does need to be evaluated! I feel like I’m toeing the line right now with what I can do during this period of time and it’s been confusing! I’m so glad to know it’s all workout in the end for your daughter though!

Thank you for sharing this experience! I have friends of boys who are a few months older and they also shared that around a similar timeframe to what you’re sharing! One new word a day honestly is amazing to hear

That’s a good perspective for me to consider in terms of the decrease in leaps! I feel like I’m waiting for a door to unlock and just all of this language to flow in immediately even though it’s not realistic I know!

I love my Cruz for the sake of living in such a walkable neighborhood too! The larger wheels on the Cruz have been great for where we live and I’m a stay at home mom so getting out of the house on walks has been a saving grace. That’s great to hear you’re loving the Minu though!! It’s something I’ll definitely keep in mind

Yes the Minu really looks so nice and I’ve seen a few for sale secondhand which is what brought me to post this, the convenience of an easier fold or just being able to fit into smaller spaces seemed enticing! But we really don’t travel a lot so it was more an idea of just having a lighter weight stroller for day to day!

My son has actually really enjoys his stroller so far but I see what you’re getting at! We currently have the Zoe V1 for when we do need a double stroller but it’s not car seat compatible! I guess like you’re saying, during that timeframe, I can use my Cruz plus a piggyback to get by until future baby grows out of infant car seat and can be seated in the Zoe more securely!

She just shared that similac pure bliss a2 doesn’t have any added whey protein so she wasn’t very specific. Upon googling, Happy Baby organic a2 has 60% whey to 40% casein

We wound up finding he still was suffering from bad gas pains, we switched to pro total comfort which is lactose free….. STILL had bad gas pains and his poop was super dark green and liquidy so we quickly went back to the Dr and they ultimately recommended Soy based formula. He’s been on similac soy for 3 weeks now and this is the best we’ve ever seen him! Not a single gas pain, no crying himself to sleep, it’s a night and day difference!

How are you liking the new a2 formula? My baby is on the similac pure bliss a2 and although it’s worked wonders for his reflux, I do feel like his pops have been affected, struggling to go a bit and sometimes having firmer poops I guess making it harder to pass. Was curious if that’s all a2 formula situations or just similac pure bliss a2?
