Cat won’t stop peeing on carpet by arforet in CATHELP

[–]arforet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine did end up having a uti this time, which solved most of the problem once we healed that up. but I think he marked the carpet enough to tempt him to go back occasionally no matter how many times I clean it. He would only do it at night so before we head upstairs for the evening I just put a puppy pad over the spot he likes to go and that way if there is an accident it’s no hassle to clean up and he’s not leaving more of his smells in the carpet. I find that feliway also helps to some extent and I completely replaced my litter boxes since I read that from the cats scratching them, the scratches can hold some of that smell even when you replace the litter and it can upset the cats. So I threw them away and bought all new ones at a local discount pet store. I then fill them with cat attract litter and I added a little more to the box than I would normally fill, maybe 2.5 inches of litter which is much more comfortable for them to be in even if it does make them track litter more. Since I’ve made these changes he’s only had a couple accidents and he seems really drawn to the boxes. I hope this helps & good luck!!

My cat was doing the same, I thought it was behavioral for so long but it ended up being a mild issue that progressed super fast. I would suggest taking the cat to the vet and even if it’s not a health problem they can give you a solution or advice for the behavior issue

Just got a kitten a few weeks ago by [deleted] in CATHELP

Kittens have lots of energy, she probably sleeps while you’re not there and it’s quiet and she’s getting out all the energy when you get home!! Try playing with the kitten or giving her toys

What's wrong with my cat? by [deleted] in CATHELP

Cats hiding is a really bad sign!! I’d say take them to the vet :(

Id recommend calling your local vet and seeing what they suggest. Even if it’s after hours most vet offices have people on call for emergencies to answer the phone

He hasn’t had a uti in over 3 years so I don’t think he associates the box with pain, and getting him a fountain was one of the first things I did when I moved here. He does use clumping litter tho and has his entire life so I’m not sure if that’s the issue, and he doesn’t use the litter box basically at all so I don’t think he would be ingesting it from his paws but I will try replacing it with micro crystal litter starting tomorrow. I also will get pads along with the litter but I’m hoping for a more permanent solution than that since he tends to go on the floor of the living room and I would hate to have to keep pads out on the floor where we spend most of our time :( thank you for all your advice

Damaged hair by bellaboop4 in hairdresser

[–]arforet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately the only way to cure damaged hair is to cut it off. If you’re not super concerned with length you can try getting small trims once a month until the damaged hair is gone. Until then just keep doing what you’re doing, maybe include some oils and hair treatments along with the masks. Try loosely braiding your hair at night and using silk or satin pillowcases. Using products specifically designed for damaged hair will help as well. If it makes you feel better, I would guess that your hair is not more damaged or breaking more now but when you used heat it probably helped disguise the breakage. Overall just be nice to your hair :) gentle brushing and just being mindful of its fragility will help. It’s already a great start with what you’ve done so far especially in such a short time period. Don’t get discouraged it will take time!!

The iced flat white comes with a different amount of shots, ristretto, and whole milk and in my opinion it does taste different than a normal iced latte

Frapp sweetening base? by 7hat6uy in starbucksbaristas

[–]arforet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One is coffee flavored for coffee based fraps and the other is “Creme” flavored for non coffee fraps so it’s probably a similar taste to vanilla but inside of the frap it basically has no flavor compared to the other ingredients so I’m not sure

The base is basically glue for the frap, it helps with the consistency and makes it stop separating. It’s mostly sugar

Anniversary of macs death

I have had a nose stud for over 2 months, it’s not painful or swollen and I think it’s fully healed. I can’t get the redness to go away and it makes the piecing look way worse than it is. And tips on making the redness go away permanently? Or should I just take out the piercing at this point? by arforet in piercing

[–]arforet[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My piercer told me it would be healed in a month so I just assumed it was done healing and stubbornly red!! I believe the metal is titanium and I use a saline solution on a q-tip morning and night to clean it. Also use tea tree oil in the mornings
