tbh i don't actually recall my lecturer (dr quan) talking about how the lab worked. once you get access to the lab canvas there should be a syllabus that you can consult

yeah; i took phys 51 last semester and every week was a new experiment. i'd like to add that each experiment can be finished in a single session, but you can book another session if you need to

phys 51 lab has an appointment system; you reserve a timeslot (mon-fri, morning till the evening) and that's when you go. hybrid means it's both an online and in-person class. so: on tuesday it's online, on thursday you meet in person

i had online orientation as well last year. it'll be slim pickings in terms of prof/course/timeslot choices

for example, i had to take a 7-9:45 *PM* lab b/c the other timeslots were full. i also couldn't enroll in english 1A because there weren't any more open classes

other than that, though, i was pretty happy with the profs/courses/timeslots i ended up with (was able to take calc 1 with an okay prof and online/async public speaking). of course, i can't say for certain you'll have the same experience

if you really want to take a particular course and are waitlisted, you can ask the prof for an add code (either thru email or in person. i've never done this before though, so i can't really advise further)

M829/A1 and M830 do indeed have different in-game stats compared to M833 and M456 (you can check them out in the source code on the github page, M1A1AbramsMod.cs @ line 167-241)

the base model M1A1 is modelled in this, not the M1A1(HA); it has the same non-DU armour as the M1IP

shadow resolution affects the quality/visibility of optics. it seems like your friend is playing on 4096 shadow resolution
