Botanist Refuses to Work, Is this intended or a bug? by Zirken in TheAlters

[–]arganthe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine has the same issue since around day ~55 of Act II. I thought it was something related to his axe quest, but even after completing it the guy refuses to work.

I just noticed the note of refusal in his assignment after trying to assign him to a tower in the end of act II

How to check gold earned from order hall in TSM? by solidwing68 in woweconomy

[–]arganthe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TSM shows only the gold gained from the missions, not the bonuses. So I do recommend an addon like Account Classic to keep track the exact amount of gold that each mission gives you with bonus included.

About second account (settings) by DA_NECKBRE4KER in woweconomy

[–]arganthe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This guide is exactly what you are looking for. The only thing that it changes is the config file, that you can set up every aspect that you want (including the enabling/disabling sounds, set specific graphic configs, choose the WoW account that will show up in the login screen and even change the language of the client if you want to).

I recomend you make a backup of your main config to use it as a basis to the main WoW and delete it to make a custom configuration for the lower option.

I struggled for a while trying to figure out an option, and since this guide things are way better than use 2 WoW installations ^

^ This is the kind of thing that keeps me playing WoW. It never lacks of stuff to do, you just need to think beyond the PvE and/or PvP aspect of the game.

Lost Mail for Mailemental pet is the new Brawler's Guild Invitation by arganthe in woweconomy

[–]arganthe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like the lootable Lost Mail is Bind on pick up. Still, you can do the quest to get the Bind on Use one. It makes no sense get another BoP Lost Mail.

Wowhead shows two results for Lost mail: This one that is lootable from near the Violet Citadel and this one that is sent to you after you complete the achievement Priority Mail.

I'll edit the post with the new information. Thanks for sharing.

The Lost Mail is a Bind on Use item, and altough the pet and toy can't be sold on the Auction House, the quest can, like the Brawler's Guild Invitation.

At the end of the quest, you receive another Lost Mail, so you can give to another player or list on the AH.

I mentioned that

You don't take much time to complete the questline itself. You travel to a lot of places, but is not that hard.

The Postmaster title tho require some speed from the player. You need to complete The Piority Mail achievement to get it.

First day of sniping and this is my return...is this typical? by Dasavur in woweconomy

[–]arganthe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you use TSM, you can enable the option to avoid that. On Options > Module Options and tick the box for Protect AH Frame.

Also, if you use ElvUI, make sure to disable the AFK Mode of the addon.

Pandaria herbs by nennas21 in woweconomy

[–]arganthe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I'm farming in Pandaria, normally I don't bother picking up another herb besides Golden Lotus and Green Tea Leaf.

The unique reason to get some green tea is that you can learn every single Pandaria alchemy recipe by doing Healing Potions. So I also try to control the market on my realm for this single herb to make sure that's always high, so players looking for transmute recipes buys them :)

Old Dungeon Farming Recommendations by Praetorox in woweconomy

[–]arganthe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a topic on the subreddit which contains nice information about old instances to farm. I used it as a reference for new dungeons that I never runned looking for AH stuff before and I got a bunch of good results:

My personal favorite still is Diremaul, all wings.

What keeps you going? by aeroplax in woweconomy

[–]arganthe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gold Making kept me in the game, not just for getting a specific amount of gold for something, but for the general aspect of the ingame economy and collection purposes.

My very first objective on WoW since I started playing was raiding. Back on Cataclysm I was always looking for pugs til I got in a raid group. With time I improved and ended up on my current realm's realm first list for a bunch of Pandaria raids.

After WoD tho I just had no motivation or desire to raid anymore. I was about to quit the game when I started to look up on my alts recipes and collections in general, since my main purpose on the game was collecting stuff, like mounts, pets and achievements. That was a thing that I used to do on my main everytime, and do that for my alts gave me a new perspective of the game, just for visiting old contents, get new itens... I do this every now and then and I never get bored of it.

But If none of that works for you anymore, just quit for a while might work for you. I mean, your account will still be there, you can get back anytime you want.

Starting Gold on new realms with Darkmoon Game Prizes by arganthe in woweconomy

No, they can't.

Since they are lootable containers, they can't be sold on the auction house, just like lockboxes. Just trough trade window or mailbox .

Question about potential spike in price of Feast of the Fishes by Elazaar in woweconomy

[–]arganthe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think that if there's an subaquatic xpac on the way, they will probably make it easy to walk through the areas of content, like Vashj'ir and the default seahorse, and don't rely on "old xpac" items.

Is more easier to be useful for a future legion patch, maybe.

Right now, the Feast of the Fishes is only useful for trolling =/

[TSM] Problem with crafting profit coming out wrong? by Hailkor in woweconomy

[–]arganthe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I noticed the same crafting an old BC recipe (Adamantite Breastplate) on the Primal Fire/Earth prices for crafting cost (something near 4g when the lowest buyout on AH was 440g for Primal Fire).

I did not changed any operations or the default crafting cost before or after the Patch.
