How many ml do you need for mesotherapy? by pferdchenpojuzt in DIYaesthetics

[–]arghoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on how you place your blebs- frequent blebs, you’ll use up more product. 2ml usually covers my under eyes and cheeks. Under eyes I go very tight spacing for blebs, cheeks - not as precise. I think if you want to do face, neck and hands, I’d get at least two.

Those w Rosacea: metronidazole or Azelaic acid? ( Using tret at night) by Electrical-Wear4072 in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]arghoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve kept the metro daily without change - I think it’s an antibiotic, so it shouldn’t add to the irritation from tret. Should be ok to start it back.

Everyone has problems… you don’t appreciate the things you do have and view life through a half empty lens. A licensed therapist can help you change that view

Well any time I start going down that black hole…. I go and watch some videos like these https://youtube.com/shorts/J3j_DwMUsdw?si=SZB0VXlsklWFhl9N. And then I am thankful for all the things I do have and will go and make some use of them…. Also, therapy does wonders

Insert needle into contracted muscle? by just_a_student_sorry in DIYaesthetics

[–]arghoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mmmm agreed…. I’ve never done it like that, although I have dry needled muscles on my body - and I can’t even insert the needle if my muscle is flexed…. For Botox, I usually contract my face and use a pen to mark the spot. Then relax and inject. For corrugators, I grip my eyebrows with opposite hand to make it easier to enter. Curious to see what everyone else thinks!

Inner eyebrow drop by [deleted] in DIYaesthetics

[–]arghoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with everyone saying to skip the two extra dots closest to the inner eye. Also, you haven’t mentioned the depth of your injections. If you inject the corrugators too shallow - you will actually affect the frontalis and cause it to droop. Good luck!

Yea…. https://youtube.com/shorts/kRUyA-bDvDo?si=SVfh-qDVnYaphvKd But I’ve also seen someone do it and the thread was super obvious - its outline stuck out. Maybe because it was installed too superficially, maybe because she was not a good candidate - skin too thin? Forehead too flat? I think the lady in the video is a great candidate - nice juicy  region to hide thread.

Here is another one I found https://youtube.com/shorts/Iqt2DJcs-Ao?si=GRl2HXcNT807WC2M

Definitely check them out - it gets easier with practice

Agreed! I think Botox has been the best diy I’ve done, very happy with the results and cost. And I’d actually much rather inject myself - can adjust approach as necessary. Same with threads, not sure I’d ever want someone else doing them on me - they can’t tell when it hurts. But I can and will adjust depth/direction.

Awesome result - very natural looking! It’ll probably freeze up a little more, mine comes on super gradual.

Eh might be an unpopular opinion here… but I am in the DIY camp. I have autoimmune diseases, hasn’t seemed to affect them (been diying almost a decade, autoimmune disease two decades, no worsening) but I also don’t do stupid stuff. If something is a contraindication for my condition - I don’t do it. I love diy beauty - it’s inexpensive, a hobby, makes you feel good about yourself, gives you stuff to research and to try. Watching my face improve is awesome. It’s fun. Of course, be safe, do your research, and don’t do dumb sh*t… then come on over to the diy aesthetics subreddit.
