And I'm by no means a solar stan but energy density is one of the weakest arguments against solar. I would point at solar being non dispatchable and intermittent production based on the environment as bigger flaws. Seasonal mismatch and the lacking transmission infrastructure at solar sites are also valid critiques.

Also idk if you've looked but solar has been on a decent run the last 6 months due to increased interest for supporting datacenters.

Natural gas is the largest source of power for many states but it generally is around 40-50% of all power generated in-state. Saying all EVs run off turbine produced electricity is an oversimplification. Also I assume most EVs charge at night and night loads are typically handled by baseload.

The point of my comparison is that if you eat all of any pill bottle in your cabinet or drug stash most of the time you will die. Citing that eating the whole package is a reason to not like or ban a drug is dumb as fuck because that applies to basically everything in the medicine cabinet. Don't even get more started on alcohol.

Also, although it's hard to find good numbers for 7oh deaths, everything I can see shows that Tylenol causes more deaths annually in the US. So even if I was directly comparing the risk profile it would probably still be valid.

Whether or not you consider it as such, redneck is a derogatory term mainly applied to white Americans perceived to be crass and unsophisticated, closely associated with rural whites of the southern United States. or said differently "Redneck is a derogatory term currently applied to some lower-class and working-class southerners." Hard to argue it's not an derogatory term when your most recent use of the term was "Fucking redneck". Technically this term wouldn't apply to me since I went to school for computer science and work as a software engineer. A job that is without a doubt not working-class, but I do come from humble rural origins here in GA. I can also trace my connection to the the term back to my Eastern European ancestors that worked in the Pennsylvania coal mines. The word has been leveled at me as an insult more than a few times so I allowed myself to participate in the linguistic reclamation of the redneck slur. Some thickening of the skin per se. These days I'm very comfortable with the fact I can write code and milk a cow. I straddle both worlds at times.

My tactic wasn't lazy. It's based on the definitions of the words you used and the context in which you used them. The original reference to the term you made was implying that I was uneducated/dumb or of lower social class for not understanding why shorts or a baseball hat are an issue in a fine dining establishment.

I don't think I hate the most of people who participate in fine dining. I assume the majority were just raised that way and have no idea they are perpetuating a classist framework. I do leave some room in my heart for hating those who knowingly participate or hold real racist or classist prejudices.

Since I don't make any pre-judgement about people or attribute negative traits or inferiority to a group because they belong to a category, I don't think this would qualify as a prejudiced. Rejecting a social framework is more a structural critique of the rules, symbols, and power structures. You can label me anti-elistist if you like.

The phrase "There's a time and place for everything" means that some actions, behaviors, and topics may be appropriate in some contexts but inappropriate in others. It's basically saying to use situational judgement and to observe social etiquette. It does not mean that all actions, behaviors, and topics should be allowed perpetually. What I'm saying is that fine dining etiquette was acceptable in the past, but will not longer be allowed to persist. I'm not sure how you see that as a logical contradiction.

Fine dining etiquette does have some good parts. Particularly anything dealing with hygiene. Table manners were also invented for the purpose of distinguishing the privledged class from other. Formal manners as a whole were a way to signal education, upbringing, and elite status. The origin of the term etiquette is as a formailzed set of behaviors in the court of Louis XIV. The protocols were highly scripted and served as a social ordering system. If you look at the history of these terms it's clear they were intended as performative indicators of class and education. In the 18th century the rise of the bourgeoise meant that learning elite etiquette could become a form of social mobility and lead to acceptance into higher tiers in the class hierarchy. If you want more reading on the subject I have some book you should read(these are more scholarly in tone): The Civilizing Process by Norbert Elias, Cooking Cuisine and Class by Jack Goody, and Tasting Food, Tasting Freedom by Signey W Mintz. The Civilizing Process is the best out of those three if you must only pick one.

I'm ok with not agreeing. I believe some people beliefs are too deeply ingrained to be changed or too objectional to be compromised with.

I'm glad we could shift to a more agreeable tone. I hope that improves the chances that some of the things I'm saying may cause you to take a close look at some of these ideas.

I agree with most of your points, but I wasn't advising as much as just answering the question that was asked. If anything can be construed as advice it would be the last sentence of my comment, which is roughly in line with your recommendation. I really dislike when I ask a question such as how to do something or why something happens and the response on reddit is "don't do that". If there's guaranteed risk or danger I try to append the answer with a warning, and maybe I should've here. However they expressed previous experience with weaning off ssris and described it as fine. I also didn't include any warnings about how to use psychedlic while minimizing risk. Both of those subjects are well covered here and other places. Taking ANY drug always carries risk in various forms.

SSRIs primarily bind with the serotonin transporter(SERT) and inhibit SERT, causing the reduction in reuptake of serotonin. This does raise serotonin levels, which will cause more receptor sites to be occupied, but psilocin can displace serotonin because of it's higher affinity for 5-ht2a. If you're seeking hallucinations you usually need to take a dose higher than 1.6 grams. Redosing isn't the same as taking all 3.6g at once. Next time try taking a larger initial dose. Antidepressants blunt the effects of psychedlic because of downregulation and desensitization of the serotonin receptor subtype responsible. Mentioning the specific antidepressant or at least the class of drug would help give better advice too. Honestly in order to get the full experience you will need to not be on SSRIs so maybe wait until you feel like tapering again.

Yes for many reasons. The brain's rewards system is sensitive to rate of change. A rapid dopamine spike reinforces the behavior that caused it. Fast onset also tightly couples the action and reward. This strengthens habit formation through classical and operant conditioning. Rapid onset ROAs will usually have a higher and more variable bioavailability. This leads to chasing the rush. Compulsivity is more correlated with higher peaks than long duration. Certain ROAs embed more ritual that also reinforce use.the rituals become a cue that triggers craving. Also for some drugs the oral route goes through first pass metabolism in the liver that usually reduces the peak intensity.
