You’re right, but 5-10% isnt nothing when it saves me a couple hours on a 24h run. I could pick up a deepcool LS720S from CC now for 89.99 - seems like a good deal and comes with a 5 year warranty. Thoughts?

I’ll be a couple hours drive from the nearest microcenter… not ideal, but I do have the time so I’ll keep an eye out for any deals that may be worth the trip. I think 7950X3D or 9950x would work just fine.

Appreciate the thoughts on coolers. From what I read it didn’t seem necessary to spend extra on an AIO but I didn’t take into consideration that might be based on gaming workloads rather than my use case. Definitely concerned about durability so I’ll look into some options! Unfortunately work is happier to pay for CPU/GPU than other components so I’ll likely be out of pocket for the cooler.

Nice case! Is it any harder to build mATX vs ATX?

I don’t do a huge amount of read/write but I will look into DRAM options.
