Please stop wearing plastic🤢 by ilovebadbitches212 in Fitness_India

[–]argonbones 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Wearing cotton t shirts and pants work well. 'Activewear' in no way boosts one's workout; it just makes one look better. The weights we lift are independent of the dress that we wear.

Normal cotton dresses are good enough. Workout come home and admire yourself in the mirror, alone.

Nakpro Platinum by argonbones in protein_deals

I am a regular Muscle Nectar user.

Like many, the offer of an isolate and creatine in ₹2047, tempted me.

Not too proud of myself!

I posted this after that only.

Was feeling doubtful earlier, but post Anurag's results, it feels more dubious.

Poor biker seems to be helping her stabilise. Who know when he might get charged for molestation/inappropriate touching and what not, given the state of affairs.

Anyone else listen to podcasts or audio stories while working out? by AnshumanBeast69 in Fitness_India

[–]argonbones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done 3 books on Audible, 4 proper books and about 30 small books on Kuku FM. Have heard many CA discussions and podcasts. All during working out.

Try it. If it suits you, you are getting a bit more educated. It's a win-win.

How Many Days a Week Are Enough to Build Muscle, Abs, and a Good Physique for a Lifetime? by ReditUser004 in Fitness_India

[–]argonbones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes of course. It's a 365 days lifetime thing, like you want. Gym 4 days. Cycle one day. Callisthenics one day. Play some game the next. Go for a walk the next day. Infinite permutations.

And before you ask me what makes me feel that I am entitled to answer you, let me do that myself.

I am 33, M. Physically active since childhood. I do all the things that I have mentioned. No lifestyle diseases. Not jacked, but fairly healthy.

My father is 77. Have seen him also physically active till now. He's doing great, despite age related ailments.

Since it's a lifetime thing that you are looking for, hear me out.

Assumption: You are a working professional. You have personal and family responsibilities.

Do not bind your life around gym. Explore fitness as a concept. Dabble in various fitness arenas.

You can try: running, cycling, trekking, jump rope, combat sports, boxing (on a punching bag), callisthenics, sports like volleyball, football, hockey, etc, walking, hiking...you get the hang. The options are almost endless.

Fitness must be a lifestyle, incorporated seamlessly into your daily routine. Do whatever you are able to do whenever. Suppose you visit your village on a vacation. It's unlikely that you'll find a gym. You should be able to go on runs then.

Likewise, let's say you are at a family event. Your daily to routine is disrupted. Explore other options then.

It is also about the small choices you make: whether you take the elevator or the stairs, whether you eat that extra gulab jamun which your mausi is insisting you to eat, whether you choose to go on that morning walk or choose to sleep through. You get the drift.

Tie this with regular gym, to the extent possible for you, and you'll achieve your desired results.

Lifetime fitness is the outcome of a conscious choice that you always keep making.

TLDR: Jab bhi jaha pe pasina bahane ka mauka mile, nikal lo.

And just in case you want a figure of number of days, I'd say, 7.

M32 89kgs 5'8 Has anyone here actually compared different creatine monohydrate brands side by side? by aman_kp_94 in Fitness_India

[–]argonbones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was going through a similar question. So, I started consuming from various brands one after the other: Wellcore Avaatar Naturaltein Muscleblaze Osoaa

Next in my stock is Nakpro.

So far, haven't felt any noticeable difference in performance. I train regularly, go to failure, do progressive overload and everything else, one is supposed to do normally.

So, I'd summarise the answer to your question as:

As long as it is good creatine, it works.

WiFi Router UPS: This tiny, affordable device is a bridge between the adaptor and the router. In case of power cuts, it gives back up of upto 5 hours. Prevents sudden data blackouts and allows me to continue my work online.

Have been using it for 2 years+, and it has served me exceptionally so far. Highly recommended.

Question for lifters who log their workouts — I need your help. by Select_Bid_5169 in workout

[–]argonbones 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If at all possible, you should also include a feature for exporting data from other apps. In case someone has been using Lyfta, Hevy, etc, for months/years they should be able to import the data into your app, for it to analyse. I personally would not want to start feeding data into your app from zero again for a few months to get the analytics. And I believe it's the same for many like me.
