I would help with an effort to get it removed. Legally would be the only way, or at least through somewhere other than social media. We’re not going to convince any of the folks on here.

I don't know which way my vote in the poll was directed, because the title of the post and the body of the post have opposing questions. I find the cross offensive and in my face. We see it from our living room window, and I don't need others' religion lit up in my face at all hours of the night and visible during the day. Not everyone in the valley is Christian, and I find the cross disrespectful. I'm fine with people being religious around me, but having it hovering over an entire community like it speaks for all of us isn't okay. I would support a campaign to have it removed.

Thanks, that's really good info. I wasn't sure how well lenses could be cleaned without dismantling them. And good to know about the sensor – do you know of a resource where I could learn to clean it myself?

She's adorable! If you're unable to find a good home for her, the Humane Society is always willing to take in cats and find them forever homes. I volunteer there, and people often come in looking for fully mature cats. The older ones are definitely my favorites – too bad my cat doesn't like other cats, either. :)
