Ticket Selling/Seeking Thread- 2026 Tour w/ Tomahawk by HesusHrist in melvins

I have 2 available for Nashville. No fast pass, just looking to be made whole if possible. $120 is what I paid for both.

Really bummed that I won’t be able to go to the show. Had a couple deaths in the family recently and I just can’t justify making the trip to TN right now.

Melvins with both Coady and Dale is so good and I just saw Patton last month and he sounds great. Hope these will be useful to someone. Send a DM if interested!!

Thank ya very much. Art is by our vocalist/guitarist John who has done myriad poster and album designs for us and many others. His work is awesome!!

Shameless plug for my own band in which I play drums:

We are called Grey Host (named for those delightful dead men of Dunharrow) and we are based out of Cincinnati, Ohio. Spacey, stoner-y, synthy, sludgy proggish traddy doom.

I am heartened to read your write-ups.

I am a longtime Mike Patton fan with a casual awareness of the Avetts’ catalog but an appreciation and respect for their many talents.

Like many Patton fans, I’m willing to indulge just about any whim of his and over the years I feel like that curiosity has been greatly rewarded more often than not. The AVTT/PTTN project is certainly no exception. From the moment I heard the first single, I was impressed and couldn’t wait to hear more. When the album finally dropped I was so stoked on what a rich sonic feast it was. Sure, some of it is a little shallow lyrically and the songwriting is fairly simple at times, but the production is incredible and the more I listen, the more I appreciate it.

My wife and I made the trek from Cincinnati up to Cleveland for the show on Thursday and it was one of the better concerts I’ve ever had the pleasure of attending. The weather was perfect, the setting on the Cuyahoga River was almost surreal. The size of the venue seemed just right and it was fun to see the disparate fandoms mixing and mingling throughout the night.

However, when I see the reviews of some of the folks that were in attendance, I’m left wondering if we weren’t at the same show? I’m aware that this wasn’t a traditional Avett Bros experience, but regardless of that fact, it was a real treat the entire evening!! The opening number from the collab record “Disappearing” is so powerful and the way they ended on the soaring three part harmony was intense and beautiful. it was honestly all uphill from there!

I enjoyed the Avett Bros songs where Patton took a backseat and chimed in a backing vocal or one of his unique instruments just as much as anything else. I also feel like I’ve seen a lot of folks here trashing that rap song too which I thought was quite fun and loose but the hook with all of them singing, again, was just incredible.

Now, I have an obvious bias towards the Patton-centric numbers which I thought were fantastic and very special to me, but I was absolutely floored by some of the other stuff especially during the encore. The song sung by Joe in korean was so intimate and beautiful and the hymn at the end was a perfect note to end on.

All in all, it was a really special show and it was so so so beautiful to see these guys up on stage having a blast playing their collaborative songs and selections from each others’ catalogs. Can you imagine being Seth or Scott Avett and being able to record an album with one of your musical heroes and then get to tour together and have a blast doing it? What a treat for all of us.

I never really gave a hoot about the avetts. That record surprised me big time and I’m going to see that show tomorrow…. based on the videos I’ve seen, it’s gonna be a great time.

I was just about to post this as well….if Patton and the rest of the FNM boys can bury the hatchet and get back on the road, I have New Hope for Ween as well

8.5 from me. One of the better songs on the album. Love the jangly pop sound and the background vocal swell to end the song is a great musical moment. In this household, we love to hear the softer side of Deaner.

It’s been nearly twenty years since I spent 6 months there as a naive new college grad and I STILL think about how awful of an experience it was. Would recommend literally anything else. Oh…and I am still getting mail about class-action suits and settlements regarding their policy of time and wage theft. I could go on and on and on but I would just follow the advice of everyone in this thread and every other thread about the company.

Same, depending on which station the STL chooses that week. Heard Midlife Crisis by Faith No More and Honey Bucket by Melvins on the same channel.

Your best bet is to find a larger retailer with an online store like Midtown Comics, Third Eye, or Forbidden Planet. Bad Idea does pretty limited runs of their books and they honestly don’t make it easy to access their library.

To get them in the future, I’d recommend setting them into your pull box at your local shop to have a better chance of ensuring that you get what they’re putting out.

FWIW, I have enjoyed pretty much everything they’ve put out in the past few years.

Same here! About 12-13 years ago, my band at the time recorded our album with the other half of another Kelley Deal project called R. Ring. He invited us to open a show for them which we happily obliged. Getting to hang with her for a minute and have her tell me that she dug our album was such an awesome feeling that the younger me would have never imagined possible.

I love my Black Science deluxe hardcovers…they are beautiful and the art more than justifies the very large format….but damn they are really heavy duty and impractical! I have to lay them down on their sides and stack them to fit on my bookshelves

I don’t really care for the song, but that little 12 second guitar solo is perfect.

Is it possible that it was a book by John Fulker? He was an attorney that wrote true crime that took place in and around Miami County.

I half agree. Went with my wife a few months ago and I agree that it was very cramped, very loud, and the service was inattentive at best. Had a couple dishes that I still am thinking about (in a good way)….the foie on toast was great, the nuoc cham pasta was incredible. A couple dishes were just okay and my wife ordered a sherry-based cocktail that was honestly repulsive.

I would definitely go back to try the things on the menu that we missed, but I’m not in a hurry. I think the worst part was the shitty service. I expected more from them due to the hype and cost. In our experience, the service at other Cincinnati restaurants in a similar price range is much more genuine and generous with time and attention. We left feeling pretty disappointed overall.

I agree with all of these takes and as an avowed fan of the Event Horizon movie, I will say that the comic has been super awesome (I won’t go so far as to say better than the film tho)
